This just proves his raw talent. He's not like the other 'talented' singers that don't write their own songs and have their voice enhanced with auto-tune and various other edits. All Ed needs is his guitar and voice. Perfect.

I agree he has talent, but what he has more is SKILL. People often mistaken skills for talents. It's not like he was born with all this talent, he worked his a** off to be where he is now, so i would call him skilled rather than talented ;)

rap music doesn't mean one type of music though, if you search deeper you'll find loads of rap similar to this that is more your style, it's just - most of - the rap that is more commercialized and loved by young people today isn't the best.

Yeah same version, but I meant that this take sounds as good if not better than the take that he recorded the album version in. Sorry for the confusion! But after a comparison I realised he plays the two aforementioned takes in different keys...interesting! :)

nobody writes lyrics like ed does. i love him because it seems like hes the only person who's put thought, love, and meaning into his work "just for the sake of it" in quite a long time. the world needed to see someone like this. im so happy hes making it despite all odds.

the extra verse is from "Dreamers" by Rizzle Kicks (REMIX featuring Pharoahe Monch, Hines, Professor Green,Ed Sheeran, Dappy, Foreign Beggars & Chali 2na) so i dont know if he could use it on the album

Just when I thought I had the whole thing memorized, I find this version with a whole new verse at the end xD

Everyone talks about how young he is and how this song seems like he's talking about how sure he is of himself and all that he's gone through, but people forget that (or don't really know) that ed has been doing this for years before the actual fame. This was his life since young teens so he hits it pretty spot on with the lyrics and he definitely is one of the best artist out there. He should be cocky. He has the talent so he's using it. He's bloody brilliant id say.

What y'all saying this ain't rap for?! Rap is about putting lyrics together on a beat or track and making em rhyme like a poem. Ed Sheeran does this with so much skill and creativity plus he plays guitar at the same time, I don't see many other rappers doing that! What makes it even more astounding is that he ain't even a rapper yet he's better than most popular rappers! Ed has a crazy talent that don't come often and just finished a tour at Wembley Stadium, its fine if you don't like him or this song but don't dare try saying this ain't rap or he can't rap cos you gotta either be deaf or brainwashed by the media. Just saying.
