This right here however, is probably a better example since he's literally poking the bear and just expecting things to go his way. I feel like this episode was meant to be metaphor. No matter how angry a person can get, it is always because of the simplest of things. A heartbreak from a girl/guy, bad day at work, arguments with friends and families. Ed with this case is a pebble which represents all of those small things in life that should not get to us but the amount of pain it causes on one’s physical self can bring out the rage and anger in one. Ed is usually dumb and funny most of the time when he is his natural happy self but once angered, he is more violent and intelligent…something that can happen to the most of us

I know he’s on a rampage, but Ed walking up to what was left of the slide, biting it, and launching it into the stratosphere is hilarious to me.

This is my favorite episode cause it shows that if Ed wasn't nice all the time, he could literally break everyone in half! But Ed is a sweetheart deep down, he doesn't mean to do stupid things all the time. Ed is definitely in the top 5 of best modern day Cartoon Characters. What's also hilarious about this, is that Plank knew exactly what was wrong with Ed. Almost as if Plank can speak with spirits and one of Ed's relatives told him what to do.

First time Sarah was ever afraid of Ed. I guess she’s never seen him mad or she has and wants nothing to do with it.

For all the over the top cartoony violence, somehow the idea of Ed snapping Plank in half over his knee is kind of unsettling.

Everybody forgets that Ed is actually strong, man turned a tree trunk around to avoid eye contact 😂

God this episode was such a gem. Danny Antonucci was absolutely on his game the way he had them use the sound effects here. Every time Ed hit something it was so visceral you could practically feel it shake your bones lol

He’s always been the strongest, he’s just too dumb and happy most of the time to apply it practically. He usually just breaks shit indiscriminately. Rolf is probably the 2nd strongest on the show, making Kevin 3rd.

The part where Sara straight up shat herself and Kevin got batter’d was both hilarious and satisfying to watch as a kid. Ed can be a legit menace when he’s not in the mood

Johnny yelling “Geronimo” was so hilarious to me. It’s like he knew he was risking his own life to take off his shoe to save Plank😂

Not only did he get angry, he actually got smarter when he was angry, look at the ways he swatted Eddy and Double D away every time

Also underrated is how persistent Eddy was to snap Ed out of his stupor. Not many people are that brave and resilient when handling a menace who breaks you in some creative ways.

The reason ed swatting Kevin away is underrated is the fact that Ed can physically overpower Kevin at any time he just doesn't because he's so cheerful and a nice person who under normal circumstances hurt someone in purpose

This just shows that all it takes is one bad day to turn the nicest person into a complete monster

Honestly, Eddy and Kevin knew better than to piss an already pissed off Ed.

Ed is so dangerous I'm surprised he's not on some kind of watch list, dude's strength matches the Gods.

Ed shouting at Sarah has *got* to be one of *the* most satisfying moments of this show ever.

0:45 "I'm hurt" really under sells what just took place. Such great writing for a legendary cartoon show.

This really shows the fact that the only reason ed is actually picked on is cause he's too kind, He is the physically biggest strongest and arguably the fastest in the show

Ed had some self control. He didn't completely destroy Double D for a second there. But I guess we can all see how he truly feels about Eddy.

Been rewatching the show recently and what I’ve noticed about Ed’s relationship with Edd and Eddy is that he is more openly obedient to the former than the latter. Whenever Eddy orders Ed around it’s usually loose guidelines that the latter follows as he perceives the instructions, which can lead to potentially harmful results. Whenever Edd asks something of Ed, the task is usually done to the letter and at times without even needing it explained to him.

I love how crushes Eddie just for annoying him but Double D touches him and Ed still has enough respect to give him a warning first.

Take note that this is the first time Ed EVER raised his voice to his sister, and the only time, as far as I know. This means that Ed is willing to give in to his little sister's every whim because he's a loving big brother who never wants to see his kid sister get hurt. The rock in his shoe has caused him to give no fukz, and so he's showing Sarah a side of himself she's NEVER seen from him, and it genuinely scared the crap out of her. It's the one time SHE cow-towed to HIS demands and beat feet to get away from him when he was in a bad mood. In the future, if you notice, she's actually a bit nicer to him than she was before this moment.

This episode just shows how terrifying Ed can be. None of the other kids would get away from his anger. It's just that he's a gentle giant with a heart of gold.

I'm sure other people said this, but notice how, when the Eds first try to talk to Ed, he first hits down Eddy quite relentlessly, yet he only first pushes Double D away with a warning. He definitely knows which of the two is consistently nicer to him...

Top 3 fiction moments for me 1. The Rohirrim arriving at Minas Tirith 2. Ed standing up to Sara 3. Samurai Jack’s friends coming to his rescue

We’ve seen characters like Rolf literally change the weather from anger yet Ed’s sheer strength we see puts him a tier above the rest dude actually ate a swing set,transmogrified his friend into a bat and sent another kid flying bro this dude…..this is a saitama level threat man

Colin Jones but SHE also needs to learn to control her anger as well, and her attitude, she’s always mean to Ed the most and is rarely ever nice to him as his little sister. So yelling back at her in this episode kinda showed her a lesson about being disrespectful to her caring big brother. (Though it’s still true that it was uncalled for to act the way he did over having a pebble in his shoe 🙄)

the kind of creativity in this show is pretty much unmatched

Finally!! Ed stood up to Sarah. He should definitely do that more often.

This was one of those rare moments where Eddy got to keep all the quarters he earned. He did not seem to lose them after Ed kicked everyone out, especially since nobody demanded a refund.

In the episode where they scammed Rolf into bringing him to his home country, Ed once slapped Rolf’s head upward and sent it flying for a bit. Imagine he had a pebble in his shoe and Rolf decided to call him a nincompoop.

This episode should have been an hour-long tv special. It would've been great.

If you think about it, Ed is rather relatable in this case. Something pissed him off so much, all he wanted was to be alone and took his frustration out on everyone and everything around him. And while said something may seem like a stupid thing to be in a bad mood over, haven't we all had days like that? Something that seems meaningless and insignificant to everyone else but is a big deal to you? That said, you know it's awesome when Sarah, the super annoying, bossy loudmouth brat actually decides to back down after shouting at Ed and then have him practically scream back at her
