Wonderful collection, I also appreciate how you display your miniatures. I would have loved to see also the Western Figures. Thanks for sharing this with all of us, my friend.
Ed, I painted seated Brit military for your Dad in Austin. I'm so happy to have found you and to see that you've kept up the tradition.
Early retirement brought me here. Nice to have a rotating display.
I had the elastolin series as a kid and they were so well detailed but less of a toy and more of a figure to be kept. Also loved the Deetails catapult which I had and it functions with twisted elestics
WOW!!! That is fantastic!!! Love the Castle Dinner scene- sad to hear your Cowboys are in storage. Your display case is second to none!
I too love your castle scene. Thanks for sharing your collection. I have collected for a little over 20 years. You did a great job of displaying these.
Absolutely gorgeous collection! I can not imagine the heart and soul poured into maintaining (and growing such a collection).
It's nice to get to see your display, Ed. I enjoyed your dad's article on homecasting in O'Brien's "Collecting Toy Soldiers". When I was starting out to collect toy soldiers back in the '80s, I started with casting from some Schneider molds I found at a flea market. His article helped me learn about the molds I have, and the companies that made them.
Great collection! What a sight!
Awesome. Can't wait to get mine out of storage for display. Thanks for posting.
A wonderful collection/display. Well done.
Lovely trip down memory lane. Fine collection.
thanks for sharing brilliant collection
amazing collection!
Thanks for showing your very nice collection 👌
A lovely collection , well done.
Beautiful. I think toy knights will always be the most popular time period. I have a bunch of the larger scale, 85mm like Papo, Schleich and Plastoy.
Nice displays! Beautiful cabinet that you have them in.
Excellent. ❤
Such a fantastic collection sir ! See you are focus on medieval era ! Congratulations from a new subscriber .
Good job James! I shared the video on my channel! See you for Thanksgiving dessert 🍰🍪🧁🥧
Awesome display! I have the castle and in your dinner scene, the figure on the right towards the back.... balding, holding the tankard, wearing that brown cloak! Thanks for sharing! The Herald and Deetail were pretty durable....my Swoppets became brittle and started breaking apart as did some of the Eyes Right figures, sadly!
Very nice!
wow biutiful antique collection
Sure wish i still had mine! Moreover, wish someone would start making them again.
What a marvellous collection, I have plenty of plastic soldiers, a few aluminium ones and 4 steel knights my mum bought for me at a castle gift shop in the late 90s. I'm saving up for some lead and tin soldiers from an antique shop in my town. I'm trying to get my hands on some African American civil war union soldiers and some Serbian soldiers from the war in Bosnia. I have many WWII, Vietnam and American soldiers as well as WWII Russian, German, Italian, British, Japanese, Canadian and US soldiers too, I also have some revolutionary French, British and American soldiers!!!!
Awesome.
Wow, this really brings me back to my childhood. I had a few Britain's but mostly soft plastic knights and soldiers that I did my best to paint and build castles and forts for. 👍
Very Nice👍🏾
Nice display! I also display my 1/48 scale aircraft models in lighted glass cabinets too.
The Britain’s Detail WW2 range is very very collectable
Very nice
I am always looking for Mr Poole's O&OR 5 & 10 figures. They are tough to find. I just purchased 2 5&10 marines and was trying to research and came across your 1st video....and on the same shelf as the 5&10 band produced are the 2 marines I just purchased...great!
Nice! I've got some of those figures as well, but not quite in the numbers you have.
very cool
That's amazing, what a wonderful collection . I myself collect and have a cabinet full of Britains American Civil War Swoppets both Union and Confederate soldiers both mounted and infantry along with Swoppets Cowboys...
Nothing quite like the 60’s vintage elastolin normans, saxons, and vikings IMHO. Unparalleled hand painted patina’s made for a blink in time
Yes l.have many of your collection in mine as well
my brother and i had the britains soldiers knights and cowboys and indians when we lived in the uk now in new zealand since i was 7 years old i know collect 1/72nd soldiers and tanks have a big collection even if i am 66 also roman and acw soldiers
Wow!🇨🇦
Have you seen the Robin Hood range of figures made by RP World Models in the UK?
Ritter, sind nicht ganz meine Zeit aber es ist eine schöne Sammlung👍🇨🇵
I wanted to ask you if you can help me complete my elastolins, I have a lot of them, so I would like to hear from you
Have you ever displayed your Wild West figures publicly - say, in a library? A university?
From where you buy this
Is there any way to get in touch with Ed Poole?
