This movie recontextualizes so much of Eddy's home life: - Big Bro's bedroom is completely sealed off from the rest of the house. Bricked-in, locked-up and hidden behind wallpaper. This dude was so bad, his family would rather pretend he never existed. - Eddy hates any kind of physical contact, now we know why - Remember Eddy screaming "Uncle, uncle!" when "Jim" beat him up? Big Bro probably did similar things when he lived at home. - Rolf locked his chickens up when he heard Big Bro was coming home. This dude probably abused or killed some of his farm animals - Big Bro was a womanizer and a misogynist. Notice the tallies of "dates" on his wall, the "girlfriend" comment, and the terrible dating advice Eddy repeats in the show. - He gave dirty magazines to a 12-year old. Nuff said - Eddy's parents response to his report card. Big Bro was a slacker that faked his grades. The parents want Eddy to keep on the straight and narrow and not end up like his brother. I dunno, its incredible how much info you can glean about Eddy's home life with this, new context

@@GatomonXplayer Don't say that. Please don't say that. It's a good thing that you've made peace with why you acted the way you did, and it was amazing that your brother helped and forgave you, but believe me when I say this. Jesus will be there to forgive you as well if you accept Him as your Lord and Savior. He knows the pain you went through better than anyone ever has. He loves you and He wants to be with Him in Heaven. One foreshadowing of what kind of person Eddy's brother was is when Eddy said, "My bro has been down the river" which is slang for spending time in jail. it raises a lot of questions as to what he did that was so bad that both Rolf and Kevin fear him so much. Whatever he did that got him sent to prison, only Eddy, Kevin and Rolf were there to see it. everyone else is out of the loop except for Eddy's parents, who as you said, sealed off his room as if he was never there. Rolf is strong enough to push down fully grown trees by himself, and moved his entire house with just his bare hands. if Rolf is afraid of Eddy's brother, you should be too. whatever he did, it was bad enough to make someone as strong as Rolf prefer to hide out of fear than be anywhere near him. I'm starting to see why Eddy's parents want nothing to do with him anymore. this really changes how I view the show now knowing some so horrible happened long ago.

Fun fact: All of the Ed’s finally break character in the very final scene, which is apparently what allows the other kids to break character and finally start to like them. Double D shows some bravery by trying to scold Eddy’s brother, Ed shows some intelligence for once by loosening the bolt that winds up knocking Eddy’s brother out, and Eddy himself finally shows some humility and admits that he was wrong and lied.

This was the perfect finale to the series. It had everything we could want. A grand journey outside the Cul-De-Sac, a true test of the Eds' friendship, an explanation of why Eddy's such a jerk, and the neighborhood kids finally accepting the eds. It's such a satisfying conclusion.

The reason Eddy's Brother was knocked out so easily by the door to the face is because of the fact that all his life, he's always been the one who dished out the pain, and never once was on the receiving end of it, meanwhile Eddy could take the door to the face and still mainly be okay, as he was always the one taking the pain. Basically, Eddy is used to being hurt, while his older brother isn't. That was basically stated by the writers of the series Eddy's Brother being a bully and a jerk was actually foreshadowed throughout the series. Double D concluding that Eddy's Brother was a prankster, having sent them a false treasure map and having what's implied to be porn magazines that he gave to Eddy. Kevin and Rolf being terrified of Eddy's Brother, with the idea of him returning to the Cul De Sac making them go to full panic for Rolf, and Kevin attempting to beg Eddy to put in a good word for him. In the same episode when Sarah and Jimmy disguised themselves as Eddy's Brother, what was Eddy's first reaction? Fear

It so good to see the neighborhood kids finally accept the Eds and welcome them as friends after all they’ve been through. And who would’ve imagined that Sarah and Kevin, the two characters who hated the Eds the most, would the FIRSTS ones to attack Johnny? That made it much more impactful for me as a fan and to think they even sang that friendship song from that episode lots of people hated so much and actually made it wholesome for the Eds.

Honestly I don't think Kevin hated the Eds he just wanted to be the coolest kid on the block and thats why he acted like a jock most of the time. Also when double D was alone he didn't have issues with him, he just hated the scams. Remember he was going to just give the Eds jawbreakers in season 1 for nothing, again not sure if it was his idea to be the coolest kid but why would he want to do that to them if he hated them? Sarah on the other hand probably saw this and felt really lucky Ed turned out to be so good and not like Eddy's brother - an abuser and she still was somewhat scared of Ed when he got angry in that one episode.

I think the reason the cul-de-sac kids jumped in to defend Eddy is because his brother is an adult, which really changes everything. Kids fight and get hurt all the time, but an ADULT hurting a child is a whole different level. Even Kevin will immediately switch to defending Eddy in that situation because no kid deserves to get treated like that. I think that's also why the kids were so quick to forgive Eddy after that- they realized his brother is the reason why he acts the way he does, and that he really just desperately wanted acceptance. Plus, he genuinely apologized for his actions for maybe the first time, which goes a long way. I like to think the cul-de-sac kids will all be friends after this, kind of like they were in the alien-themed special episode.

I always had the headcanon that Kevin was the only one who actually met Eddys brother. Kevin was bullying Eddy, Eddy ran to his brother for help, and Eddys brother beat up Kevin AND Eddy. Kevin didn’t know Eddy got beat up as well, and Eddy at the time saw it as justified for having to go to him for help, but of course it was Eddys brother being a sadistic asshole. It’s why Kevin always seemed to be afraid of Eddys brother, as well as respecting him, I imagine the rumors of Eddys brother weren’t all from Eddy, but Kevin spread some as well.

I imagine the reason we never find out what the big scam was is because the writers simply couldn’t come up with anything that could meet the audience’s expectations. Look at this wacky world where physics don’t apply and characters can survive and shrug off some the worst injuries. Edd survived getting a house dropped through his body as a BABY! We could think about it all we want and it’s possible that no answer would be completely satisfying.

I’m guessing it was some kind of boutique: maybe they made some kind of salon thing, and tried to give everybody makeovers, but of course, due to their shenanigans, maybe they had the wrong tools or made a machine to do it, and failed badly. Ed Edd n Eddy’s big picture show is an amazing finale to one of favorite CN shows growing up. The story is engaging and funny, where it’s basically like the wizard of oz, where it’s not about the destination but journey and how that affects the main characters and their friendship. The animation is amazing as it really elevated itself to see the world outside of the cul de sac. The characters are still as memorable, funny and charming as they were in the show. But one thing I really love about the movie is that we see a new side of them that wasn’t in the show that gives the Eds some much needed character development. For Eddy, even though he’s known to be a jerk, we really start to see his vulnerable side that really gives him some new depth especially when his brother comes to the scene. For Edd, after what happen, he’s starting to question his friendship with Eddy since all its ever done is get him to trouble. As for Ed, we see how much of the heart he is of the trio, even if he’s an idiot. This is what makes this movie engaging. They really define being a trio, where one can’t function without the other, and when thing’s always do go as plan and backfires on them badly, they mostly if not all the time go down together. I think the scam that the eds were trying to do in the beginning might be one involving the eds doing a magic show perhaps as Nazz is shown in a pink box when she and the other kids were attempting to end the eds once and for all.this implies that she might have been part of the iconic trick where the magician will attempt to saw his assistant in half.(With the assistant being in the box that will separate into halves after the saw is used.) As for Rolf i believe his magic trick had something to do with his animals(perhaps Wilfred, his pig, was chosen as his star attraction) which ended badly probably causing Wilfred to fight back and thus bite him in several parts of his body as we see in the movie. then we have Johnny who i believe attempted to do an original trick involving bear traps but thanks to the explosion(which was caused by a RED BUTTON that eddy had accidentally pressed as said by double d during his fight with eddy) johnny might very well have fallen into a box of bear traps head first thus causing his injuries along with Plank. last but not least we have Kevin and in all honesty i believe that he was just there looking around not interested before unfortunately being caught in the crossfire by the explosion. and that wraps up my theory about the what the scam at the beginning might be.

Well fellas, Your journey through the EENE series has officially come to an end congrats! "Big picture Show" was yet another good opportunity for them to expand the EENE universe outside the Cul-De-Sac and Peach Creek. This tv movie had some badass moments like when the Ed's took Eddy's brother's car, In fact I bet he'd be pissed if he found out that they completely wrecked it during their escape from the kids. And one of my favorite parts of this special is when Double D and Eddy have an argument in the swamp, Because I was proud of both of them in that scene. Both because Double D finally worked up the nerve to stand up to Eddy after years of being pushed around by him and dealing with his stupid scams, And Eddy finally showed some genuine humility for once in his life by admitting that everything was his fault. And without a doubt the movie had a very solid and satisfying ending! I mean they kinda did Jonny dirty in the end. Because even though his reasons for becoming the new antagonist were understandable, The kids didn't have to beat Jonny up I mean sure he didn't exactly make it in time to witness the big showdown with Eddy's brother, But the kids could've just as easily told Johnny that they were no longer after the Ed's and got him to back off. But with the Ed boys now socially accepted I guess the Cul-De-Sac needed a new outcast which Jonny already was to an extent, But even so they still did him dirty. In conclusion, I was really impressed in the Kankers, After finding out that the Ed's were in trouble they went out of their way to try and save them by capturing the kids. With the hopes of winning the Ed's affections willingly, And the fact that they molested Eddy's brother in the end kinda made a lot of people think that sometime after the events of the movie the Kankers were finally over the Ed's.

@@steveharvey3351 Well, I believe the reason the Kanker's did molest Eddy's brother despite the age gap is because, The Kankers are those types of individuals that like to take advantage of one when they are at their most vulnerable. So I guess seeing Eddy's brother partially unconscious made the Kanker's think that they may as well seize the opportunity while they have it.

@@DeathKnight5608 Well I do know that Ed, Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show was fully completed in 2008, so it was already finished for a while before it actually premiered to the public. According to the Ed, Edd n Eddy wiki, the movie first aired in Scandinavia on May 31, 2009 and also aired ahead of time in several other countries before its premiere in the United States on November 8, 2009. So who ever uploaded the movie to KZread before the official United States airing had to have gotten it from one of the international airings ahead of time. I know this movie aired in Australia on June 5, 2009 and that country is in English.
