Note: The Fallopian tube has four described parts: the intramural or interstitial part (continuous with the uterus), isthmus, ampulla, and infundibulum with associated fimbriae. Some literature consider it to have only 3 main parts namely the isthmus, the ampulla and infundibulum (which also have fimbrae)
