Always use jack stands! Never trust your life to just a jack. Happened to my dad, he almost died. Plenty of other less fortunate people’s stories available online.

I completley dig your entire vibe. You made the right choice to take a rest. Everything you learned in this video span will carry with you forever. Please man, use jackstands. It was the worst feeling not being able to yell for help because all the air was smooshed out of me.

Thank you so much for the kind words and I am glad you are liking the videos! This video is older and I have been using jack stands for a while because so many people said things. It must have been a very scary incident for sure. That being said, I appreciate the offer but already have stands! i agree, and when i noticed his channel name, i had to subscribe lol im definitely a parking lot mechanic myself lol I didn't know it was a name for it. I'm literally doing these jobs in planet fitness parking lot ---I dont have a garage lol or a house for that matter

Thanks! Every minute and hour is definitely more experience and knowledge even if it is a bit infuriating at times! Love a good Jetta too. My first car was 99.5 MK4 Jetta 2.slow.

I did actually change the charge pipes a couple of weeks later. Really was not that hard to get back in there and just do the pipe! And thanks! It's a fantastic little car!

Thanx for this vid mate. Not many around addressing Mk6 s. u saved me heaps of time because now I’m not gonna bother. My car is a DCT so don’t think it’ll make much difference. What do u think?

Can I install the turbo muffler delete pipe kit without changing anything else? And will it cause a check engine light if I do install it? Love your videos man they’re helping me build my GTi

My OEM turbo muffler stuck inside the turbo when I loosen the 3 bolts! How did you wiggle your oem muffler out the turbo? 😭 help please

It’s been so long since I did this that I can’t fully remember, but I believe there is a sensor/wiring? that is blocking the way that can be unbolted with a 5 mm Allen key. It takes some finagling still but with that out of the way it should come out. Someone correct me if I’m wrong

Do all MK6 GTI have a turbo muffler? My last mechanic didnt install this spulen turbo delete I had purchased for my car cause he said my gen 3 didnt have the proper alignment with the delete .

This is the first I am hearing of anything like this. I would assume all would have it to cut down on production costs and not making too many different parts. You could always dig in there yourself and check it out!

I tried to install this on my car but there was some kind of sensor right against it so i couldn’t put the rubber tube on what did you do with the sensor? If it was getting in your way.

Oh boy, I remember that sensor not so fondly. If I remember correctly there are two Allen bolts holding it in. 5mm, or something. It took me a lot of blind fiddling but I eventually got the sensor moved. The kit from ECS comes with a clip to keep that sensor out of the way on a nearby coolant line.

How much can you hear the turbo now? I hate not being able to hear the turbo but don't want to drop 2 grand on a k04 kit

It’s noticeable but I wouldn’t say drastic. Pair it with a turbo outlet pipe and then it’s better. ARM has one for about half the price of anywhere else. I have it on mine and it’s great.

Gotta invest in some jack stands brother. the GTI sits too low, that wheel wont save ya life if something goes wrong.

Thank you so much for the concern! This video is edging on two years old now and I’m happy to report that I have started to make sure the car is properly supported anytime it goes up now; jack stands are a must and I’ll even slot the tire under there if one comes off.
