Ecological Footprint Journey by Demibumi | Jessica Halim | THRIVE Webinar

Household waste is an ever-present problem across the world - how can we solve this?
Jessica Halim explores solutions to creating sustainable products that not only ease our impacts on the environment, but help people in local communities, through the lens of her sustainable product business, Demibumi.
Jessica graduated from Swinburne University in Melbourne, Australia, with a degree in Bachelor of Design, majoring in Visual Communication and currently works as a Graphic Designer.
However, she is no ordinary designer - her desire for sustainability started from her personal experiences at home and extended into her professional life where she realised that as a designer, she has a responsibility to change consumer behaviour and to create a better environment for her home, Indonesia. Jessica’s mission is closely aligned with SDG 12 - Responsible Consumption and Production.
Through Demibumi, she raises awareness around consumption habits and encourages individuals to make better choices to reduce their ecological footprint in their daily lives. She also provides practical education on how to make tempeh without using plastics, organic urban farming, and how to live with less waste.
