    Pluto Atmosphere was observed by the New Horizon probe. It does have a blue glow as portrayed by this video as the probe flew behind the planet.

    Can you do planets seen from their farthest moon? So Earth seen from Luna, Mars seen from Deimos, Jupiter seen from Sinope, Saturn seen from S/2004S26, Uranus seen from Ferdinand, and Neptune seen from Neso.

    It’s kinda crazy how the moon is just as large as the sun is in our sky so it covers the entire sun asides from its corona. Out of all the times to be alive we are alive when the moon is at this perfect distance (the moon is slowly moving away from the earth)

    @@catpoke9557 to be fair the corona is pretty large but still the fact that those proportions are so near equal (for astronomy) that only the corona shows is still pretty mind boggling

    Beautiful simulations! Have you ever considered how rare it is that we have a PERFECT eclipse on the earth? It seems that it is almost impossible for it to happen anywhere else in the entire universe. Can anyone do that general calculation?

    Space Engine, the software I used, is using accurate sizes and orbits so yeah all eclipses in the video are very probably actually visible.

    ok, but how's the Pluto one possible if Pluto and Charon are both tidally locked to each other? Pluto and Charon both take 6.4 days to rotate and to go around their barycenter.

    They are tidally locked: they don't rotate relative to each other. But they do rotate relative to the sun and within their orbit 😉

    @@Stargaze_youtube Yes, but it's not as thick as Earth's atmosphere, it would appear pitch black in reality, with maybe some cloude and hazes on the horizon.

    According to current records, the next lunar eclipse will occur on the night of May 26, 2021. The partial solar eclipse will occur on June 10, 2021.

    Even though the Martian moons cannot cause a a total solar eclipse they can still be seen if you were to use eclipse glasses. In fact mars rovers have actually caught a Martian solar eclipse on camera.

    Jupiter saturn uranus and neptune have no surface so you need to view it from their moons (exept pluto)

    @@cycrothelargeplanet On Pluto and Charon, neither can happen. They're tidally locked to each other, meaning they dont move in each others sky. So the only way it could happen there is if the sun visually passes behind one of them on its own.
