Jan de Muinck Pink Floyd actually hated this after it was made. It sold shit load of albums and they had do a tour. Makes you wonder why there is never a track on a live show! I bought it when it came and thought it was ok.

Hoi Jan, check out " Pink Floyd - Atom Heart Mother (Conservatório de Paris) FULL CONCERT " for a better inspiring version, with in between a surprising extra Gig in the Sky.(do you know the very first performance of the piece: Pink Floyd Atom Heart Mother Bath Festival 1970 .More interesting is however the 2nd or 3rd performance in London: " Pink Floyd - Atom Heart Mother Live Hyde Park 1970" .

have a listen to this, done with a handful of musicians, both of these efforts are simply superb..... but I prefer the big orchestra version...it inspires...a feeling of emotions, hairs standing on end... almost tearful for some strange reason....awesome... Original will be original. But this I feel as an outstanding example of interpretation, good example for the younger generation how to be engaged in this eternal piece of music. Me 53.

Da igual el tiempo que pase. Nunca dejará de ser una obra de arte. Con apenas 12 años la escuché por primera vez. La música de verdad no se acababa con los clásicos. No era preciso escuchar ritmillos pegadizos repetidos hasta el vómito. Era real, se podía descubrir música más allá del chimpún, chimpún. Gracias PF por escribir con mayúsculas la palabra MÚSICA.

Veramente bellissimo non ho parole, questa la mia versione preferita ,i grandi ringraziamenti vanno ovviamente ai Pink Floyd, che hanno fatto di questa musica una vera opera d,arte che dura nel tempo, basti pensare che l,originale e uscito nel lontano 1970 e oggi a distanza di 48 anni risulta una delle session music più belle al mondo

Been an avid #PinkFloydian since I listened my first album when I was 12. I was never fond of Pink Floyd covers, EVER! This is the only one which matches the originality and ingenuity of the greatest band ever!! Absolutely fantastic!

Perfeito... Eternally Pink Floyd ... Masters of harmony between their beautiful songs and the perfection of their musical notes ... There will be no other similarities.

I scream, i laugh, i cry and i dream, thank you for such a great journey.

Props to the lead guitarist for staying true to Gilmour's licks and style.

I agree with you I know this album very well , since the I bought it (vinyl)and played it one hundred times. This guitarist (I mean the solos) is very faithful to Gilmour sound and notes played on the bottle neck (not easy). The other guitarist is good too.The choir is faithful , all the musicians are faithful (the cello). Good job.

Sono un 1965 anch'io, che dire sarò sicuramente un vecchio nostalgico, ma al giorno d' oggi non conosco nulla di lontanamente comparabile alle produzioni che vanno a cavallo tra gli anni 60 fino ai primi 90. 😢

There is some lasting quality and beauty in this music. Heard it a few hundred times probably. Still sounds alive and well, especially when played live. Time had no effect on it. Thanks

An excellent version, possibly the best on KZread so far. Perfect blend of band and orchestra/choir. Sound mix is quite ideal. But it is edited, it's not the full piece as originally composed and executed by Ron Geesin and Pink Floyd. Where is the Mind Your Throats Please section, for example? It is, aesthetically, absolutely necessary to the appreciation of the musical statement as a whole. Would you sir, initiator and producer, perform The Rite Of Spring minus a section or two? I hereby challenge you to honour the entire composition. No excuses.
