I have been looking forward to seeing more of that Echo!

Poulan had it figured out when they made that one too. They did get a bad reputation but they are actually a good saw if taken care of. Lots of those things set in a truck or shed for years, and the day it gets pulled out the fuel lines are rotted off. Not really the saws fault and should be maintained correctly. Great video and just shows all the newer stuff isn’t all that greater.

I was NOT surprised that the Poulan won, even if I was pulling for the Echo. My Echo isn’t as fast as my other saws, just a lot lighter.

You are absolutely right those little Poulan chainsaws are great. They are quite easy to fix and work on when there is a problem like the fuel lines. I have picked these up out of the garbage many times and that is all I’ve had to do. Sometimes clean the carburetor out because it sucked up broken pieces of fuel line but that’s it.

I can see how some would say the poulan having a MM is unfair. Me, nah! In my hands, any saws muffler that has any obvious restrictions, catalysts or outlet area less than 50% of port size is getting some surgery, or replaced by a pipe ASAP! Great review, Ive got a 4620 and been deciding whether to ditch it and get a 435 but after wathcjing your videos, I reckon Ill keep it and ditch the 20" bar and replace it with a 16 and do the muffler mod. What chain spec would you recommend in a 16? Its currently running a 325 058 gauge. Thanks for all the entertaining vids 👍 Any chance on doing a 4620 versus a 435 or 440? 😊

I wonder how a Shindaiwa 452s will compare. I have one and like it a lot for the smaller stuff.

Holy dangitdang, I am so close now to buying a new Echo 7310. Tomorrow I am going to go feel it in my own hands. EHRMM!! I am gonna buy it sometime, but we will see when! It´s the best looking saw on the market to be fair. I´ll get it in my mates lathe have him cut squish and band.

I sold one of those PP295/4620's for 40 bucks lol. Your right on there is good value there.

I have a craftsman 3.3 which is the same as that 335 poulan pro that you have I cant find an air filter and the carburetor hoses on mine are all messed up would love some help with it if you can also I can’t find anywhere a chain brake for it either would love to find one cuz I know the 330 chain brake fits it because of your video please would love some help on this

Husky 435 is only a 40cc saw . Echo 4510 is a 45 cc saw . So wouldn’t it weight more? Liking my echo 4920

The 4510 is strato charged saw and they can be harder to tune. My ms441 mag is the first stihl strato saw and is hard to tune correctly. For less than a 100$ more I'd rather have a cs-590.

Recently tuned up/test ran my neighbour's PP4620, did find that by design the air filter tends to pack up rather quickly but other than that a very decent saw.

Best upgrade the 4510 is a 4920 clylinder lol

I'm willing to bet you mod the exhaust on the Echo it will wake it up. It would be fun to have a second exhaust to mod and have the stock one to swap out to. I would not be surprised that the EPA is to blame for it's not being as powerful as the Poulan in the test.

I love it when people throw them in the trash because I dig them out

The Poulan is already 20 years old. It's lighter, faster, and probably better built than this particular Echo. You've been told to hate Poulan, and you have gobbled it right up. Good job.

I own the 4510 and Im not impressed with it. It's too big for a small saw, but also under powered. It also has bad vibration.

Have to agree, I'm not impressed with mine. I don't find mine has bad vibrations though, the low vibrations was one of its selling points and it's way lower than most comparable power saws.
