August - I'm not a tree guy, but I want to compliment you on your attention to detail, advance planning, team work, and joy of life. All of that makes it so much fun to watch your videos. I learn a lot that I can apply to my particular skill set.

I love my 335T’s stock bar. I keep the chain sharp and it cuts great. I couldn’t imagine it cutting faster, I may look into one of these👍🏻

Love this channel, it makes laugh as I learn some new things and am awed by the footage. I have an old Echo cs4400, runs like a champ, sadly it took me years to learn to use it properly. Saved me when had an ice storm a few years back. My back yard was filled with downed branches and toppled trees. Oregon is beautiful, trees are awesome, but when crack, and bomb your house, it the chain saw that is your best friend.

That new 355T performs well in all aspects. For years I used 1/4 pitch with top handle saws, not so grabbing when the cut is in front of your upper torso and face. Looks good, cuts nice!

Personally, I find that the 16” bar is great and the 355 can handle it, but the balance is slightly off compared to the standard 14” bar. Great saw though, good choice with half the expense.

I loved it but after being sick and in the hospital icu for a month, I had to sell almost everything I owned to stay afloat... I hate my life... Stay well everybody. This makes me really sad though. This is their BIGGEST and most-powerful climbsaw(top-handle), I think you're referring totheir 2511T which august also uses, but that's a 25cc climbsaw (about the smallest they make them), designed to still be strong while being super-small & super-light (barely >5lbs!), as said by others though the 355t is a 'king saw', it may only cost $350 new but, out-of-box, will outperform the 201t & the 540xp (a kid has a very good, precise vid on youtube showing all 3 competing, w/ the same bar&chain to keep things consistent, the 355t is simply an amazing saw if it were $500 or 575 nobody would EVER think twice about its pricing, yet somehow it exists (at 350!) and people still buy 201t's!!! Guess I could understand paying hundreds$$ more for the 540xp IF the slightly-heavier, slightly larger displacement Husqy really meant a lot to you, but the 355t & 201t are both 8lbs, 35/36cc, 2.0/2.1HP saws, yet somehow Stihl - with a crappy warranty and ZERO "try before buy" plans, somehow they feel OK charging nearly 2x what echo does for the 355t (which you could try for up to 1wk and still get full $ back, also if- no, when!-you keep it, it's nice to know it's got the best warranty in the industry, I mean Stihl warranties are hardly longer than "If it comes out-of-box with a break" lol, but with Echo you get *full* warranty, 1yr for commercial users like myself and 3yrs for homeowners, blows my mind that the 355t, and 2511t, don't make-up like 80%+ of new top-handle sales right now (or for all of 2020, really)

3/8 narrow kerf is a good compromise for cutting faster than 3/8 low profile, and stronger than 1/4 chain. Those Panther bars look great on the Echo's.

Been using an MSA200 with a 1/4" pitch for 3 years, doesn't have the grunt of a gasoline saw but cuts so smooth. And just got a 161t which you should try - it has 30% more power than the 160t you reviewed a couple of years ago. Still no where near as much power as the Echo, but quiet and smooth. The Frontero sounds great.

Also I got to be a groundie for the first time on Saturday and it was awesome! Honestly I don't know why my guys on the ground have so many problems. I asked the climber if I jostled him and he said I was very smooth. I had to ask because I wasn't looking at him when the limbs were coming down I was more focused on where the limb was traveling. My biggest concerns were not to dynamically load the line and not screwing the climber over throwing him around. I would just watch the line placement and where the climber was making his cut. That would tell me where the limb was going to go and I would adjust from there where I wanted it to land. I found it really easy to do, but I had to ask the climber if I caused him any problems and he said "No I was smooth" and he liked the fact that I had the line back to him very quickly. It was nice to get the perspective from the ground. I had a great time.

Stihl makes a 1/4" pitch "non safety" chain. Though, finding a bar for it might be a problem. As it has .050 thick drive links as opposed to the .043 of the Panther. Stihl makes them for their 3005 series bar mount. I believe Cannon makes some solid nose carving bars. So, it's probably not worth the hassle as that Panther chain looks like it cuts well. I want to try a 20" 1/4 pitch bar on a MS180.

I've always avoided the Stihl, Husky, Echo conversation, seems to be the same as Ford, Chevy or Dodge. As far as toppers (cs2511, 2711 and 355) and the 60 cc(cs 600,620) class the Echo seems to be a good reliable buy, especially at the price point. After this video, I will purchase the conversion kits and the muffler mods, good lord what a time and effort saving investment.

The 355T isnt my personal #1 top handle saw, especially using up in air all day.. But its not bad, not bad at all. I know after a mild muffler mod too the muffler screw on cover, and removal of the plastic "COLD-WEATHER" SHEILD ill call it, It is so much better.. Even with stock 3/8" LP chain.. A tad'bit heavy, and odd for me one handed.. maybe cause I got big hands..& too spoiled from the 2511t now) But the 355t is a well built durable saw.. Its one of the few top handles ive had, that has lasted almost 5 years now.. and is still on the truck. No matter who uses it. Its always there, always starts, always ready too go. just my 2 cents.. Really love the panther bar/chain kits.. Mite haveta grab one.

I never really got into using the bigger top handle saws . I don't like or need the extra weight of them using one handed . I like my good old echo cs 341 it's just under 34 ccs and in the middle of size for top handle saws and is around 10 pounds cuts just great no mods just a 12 inch bar . I got a echo cs 271 t within the last year and its alot smaller at around 27ccs and lighter by like 2 or 3 pounds and it's what I usually use when I'm not cutting down big trees but it's obviously easier to use one handed than the 341 . Other than using non safety chain they always cut good enough for me and the tree company I used to work for before I worked for myself

Monkey beavers at play. Been shopping for a while, watching August in the air with his hotrod 2511 (demonstration saw only, NOT for actual cutting ya know) I'm going to go for a 2511t, )wish I could find a rear handle (WES) but it seems the UK got em all. I've got storm damage to clean up and I'm getting less thrilled with the heavier saws I've got. A light snotty little saw looks like it would suit my needs well. I've been shopping a while, those 1/4 Echo clutches are scarce and expensive. Seems worth doing though, but I do wish I could find someone selling the saw with the 1/4" clutch so I don't have to take off the new 3/8 stuff and throw it in the parts pile. 2nd choice would be a kit with the clutch, bar and chain. I carve a bit so it would be nice for that too. I'll get some of the MB Panther parts when you have em back in stock on the site. Guess I'll use the 3/8 for a while, it's probably fine for cleaning up blowdowns. Thanks for sharing the fun guys and lovin the Ranchereo. PS - you may want to adjust that idle a bit there.

I've been trying to find a Echo CS2511P and put a 1/4 inch Panther bar/chain on it. The "P" version is the rear handled CS2511T. Can't find as it is new in the United States.

You must cut 24/7😃. Still running my first 2 cs2511’s from when they first came out. They probably do 80% of the cutting on our removals. We run our fuel mix at 32:1 still 100% trouble-free. 12” 3/8lp on the bar and chain. Running Dolmar bars. 46 drivers. Zero wear issues. Hope this helps you

I got a quick question since I have the same saw, what's your procedure for starting the saw when it's cold? choking it helps but for me it never starts choked, I hear it almost start and then I remove the choke and pull it until it finally starts but it takes more pulls than I would expect from a fairly new saw. Thanks in advance!
