It’s impossible to pick a favourite. Too beautiful. Isn’t it amazing how something so prickly can produce such delicate flowers, soft as butterfly wings.

Haha. I agree. The Flying Saucer my best bloom this year so far. I just completed my new Trichocereus garden today! I’m hoping that once in the ground, they will grow better. Easier to care for, too. No more moving with the change of seasons.

Hi Ana! I enjoy your KZread videos SO much! The information you provide is so helpful. I have kept cacti since the 1970s and had never gotten one to bloom. Not only are my Mamilaria and Rebutia blooming almost continuously, but my Gymnocalycium sternopleurum has put out two large, beautiful flowers and my Echinopsis and Trichocereus are getting ready to have some really big blossoms!

This is my favorite channel Ana. Thank you for posting. I really enjoy your vids. Oh, and you have the same Echinopsis I have. Mine bloomed for the first time this last Sunday. The flower was exactly like yours. My Trichocereus is only 4 inches tall. It will be a few years before she'll bloom.

Ana, I am in awe of your flowering cacti! They are always so abundant and so many beautiful colors. I have one Old Faithful, a candelabra type cactus that is covered with red flowers each year, but they haven’t opened up yet. Yours are just beautiful.

Wonderful Super Blooms! The Trichocereus Rainbow Giant is fabulous! 🤩🙂

Wow!! What a show !!! Spectacular flowers!!! I think the rainbow bursts is kind of a brand name. I have 3 different Echinobivia under the name rainbow bursts. All are a pink shade of some sort, but have different plant shapes. I have the one you showed which is in bloom today. And I noticed that the one today is a day bloomer and my other two are night bloomers. It would be nice to know the individual hybrids!! But like the big box stores, no individual names. Just rainbow bursts, or Echinopsis hybrids or trichocereus hybrids. 🤔 Oh well they are all beautiful!!!! Thanks for sharing with us Anna!!! Hahaha. You are correct about the Rainbow Burst. I have probably 5 pots of Rainbow Burst and they all have different color of flowers and different plant body, too. I also have multiple “Torch Cactus”. 😄 Big box store finds are cheap. But they come with generic names.

Oh yes. You can get lucky in Home Depot and Lowe’s. Many of my blooming cactus is from them. Cheaper too! The only downside is most of the time, they have no proper IDs.

Europe has very good hybrids when it comes to Trichocereus and Echinopsis. Brent himself likes obtaining European hybrids. You can easily build up a nice blooming collection. 😃

I have 1 trichocereius cactus...it's small and I have it in an arrangement pot. I think I'll repot it next spring in a pot by itself.

I have the yellow one also from HD lol

Sometimes Home Depot sells some with really nice flowers except they have no name. Some of my Echinopsis are from them, too and they turned out to be good blooms.

I wish I could put my cactus plants in the ground... Michigan gets snow and cold temps . 😏😏

I have a long slender columnar cactus and i think its an echinopsis type. I t hasnt flowerd yet..im waitng to see..... .

In a nice way you are a super bloom. I have about 10 catus I lost some leaving them out side during the winter I.like all but I want cold hardy so leave some out for.test. comum name rope catus - and devil head aka horse cripplers .thanks Ana.

Soooo Beautiful!!!! Where did you get the first pink and yellow Trico that you show? Also, I remember in a past video you mentioned using Bloom booster sometimes when you water, I was wondering how much you add per gallon of water and how often you use it? also how often do you fertilize & exactly what type of fertilizer do you use? All of your plants seem to be covered in flowers!! I am really bummed out because I was hoping with keeping my cactus in the cooler environment on the patio surrounded by windows that having that cool period would get me some flowers with all the light but so far I only have a couple. I did water maybe two or three times over the whole period of winter just a little bit so they wouldn’t lose their roots, but I think that maybe it was too much? I hope someday I will have beautiful blooms like you!!! thanks in advance for your help!

I bought an Echinopsis type and its very Spikey....what kind is it? I thought it was a fero cactus!!

So my cacti have been growing crazy they started to bloom some pretty yellow flowers but they died and shriveled up I’m just trying to figure out if that’s normal

Did you mean the flowers shriveled up? Some cactus only bloom for one day. Others are night bloomers so after just a few hours in the morning, they wilt. Others open and close for a few days. Just depends on which one you got. 🙂
