ECG/EKG Interpretation Tutorial - Episode 1 - Basic Principles

Thanks for watching this first episode of a large ECG Interpretation course! Links to many others below! By the end of this master course tutorial series, you will be able to read ECGs with the best of them.
In this first episode, I focus on the basics of the ECG paper, the waves and complexes, the segments and intervals, and the names of the different deflections seen on ECG tracings. Enjoy!
(At about 6:49, I misspoke and accidentally said right ventricle instead of atrium; sorry about that!)

This video is great, I had a basic understanding of what an ECG is supposed to look like and how the heart depolarize. However I did not know how to break down the QRS. I am only in high school but I like to study the medical field (amongst many things) so videos like this are great. I’ve been with this channel for a little bit and I’m super excited to see this series showing up. Over the last year or so I’ve watched every video of yours I can find. This is a great channel and an awesome chance at getting solid information that’s presented in a comprehensive manner. Thank you for this video! -Roman

Two questions for you.... 1. Are you still planning to make the rest of the series? I LOVE what you've don't do far but it looks like it ends at episode 3. 2. What is going on, cause, etc... if the flat period between the end of the T wave and start of the next P? Does the heart just pause and then fire again? Or is it building up charge like a capacitor? If it is just pausing, what causes it know to fire off again?
