How do you know the piers are vertical? Or doesn't that matter? Is saw you check it visually before the drilling started, but then it wobbled all over the place.

I just had a crew install some for me at work. The torque gun actually has a level sensor with a in-cab monitor to makes sure the pile is level. As you get closer, minor adjustments can be made by tamping the surrounding dirt around the pier.

Could this method be used to fix a sinking house? My house is leaning on one corner

Does the grout help with lateral deflection?

It would be greatly appreciated a step-by-step procedure with explanation. Thank you for video anyway.

This one has more of a step-by-step format about the installation: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z2yYmq2dg9aqaZM.html But now that I think about it I think it's a different kind of helical pier than the one here.

What about uplift? Unless you puddle weld the cap to the shaft after filming, It probably has great bearing capacity but it's gonna fly with Dorthy and ToTo unless it's connected better than cement slurry.

It would take some Force Majure to move that pile!

I have used them. I have seen them used. I have seen jobs years after. And I simply do not like them. Reasons are many.

I know you made this comment a year ago but could you explain why? Recently came to a job that has one corner of the entire foundation sinking at least 4 inches in one corner near the street. Because the underside of the home is wet sand I don't think a standard footer will stay at all. lend me your knowledge here, I don't want to send the homeowner in a useless direction.

yeah I also like to know why you don't like them, they don't last long? I'm thinking of hiring a crew to use this to level my Lake side cabin which is sinking in Sandy soil.
