Thank you for posting this! I also use Reason and have been needing some help with making my EBM pop a bit more. Cheers!

It is interesting to have found this channel where he talks about EBM and also uses Reason. I started making my own EBM songs and some New Beat and Industrial Techno with Reason in 2003. I did it at home, but without any commercial purpose, just out of nostalgia as a fan of EBM since the mid-80s and due to the crisis that hit it. EBM happened between the mid-90s and the early 2000s, where Future Pop, Techno Body Music (TBM), AggroTech and other variants that moved away from the classic EBM sound (Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, etc.) burst onto the scene. So I didn't have a mixing desk, but a laptop and a mute keyboard. The voice was recorded with the built-in microphone of my MacBook with the Sound Studio program. I liked to see that you use the Subtractor to make the basslines. I also started with it, but later I switched to Mälstrom and later to Thor, since they gave more breadth of sound when playing in stereo (Subtractor is mono). Since my mission was not to earn money, with the subscription app, I decided to stop making music. All the best.

*Information Overload…. I forgot the artist but it’s one of the EBM songs that got me into it. 🤘🤘🤘🤘 This video covers the fundamentals I’m struggling with. 🏆 Awesome vid! I’ve got Chris of Mindless Faith tutoring me but I’m still studying as much on my own. Thanks for this video! Bass lines are my trouble.*

Great videos, been watching them. Good substitute not being able to be in the studio with other people this last year. I saw Godless Cross popped up... we premiered their video on NYE on our 2 Dark New Years Evil show. Great track but I’ve never heard your remix before.

Great tutorial, though when i load an pro eq2 on my single sawtoothbas i can only see one fundamental in the graph. Do you get more fundamentals when you layer your bass?

Thanks for the feedback! May I ask what synth you are using to produce the saw tooth? Are you sure the frequency pass knob on the synth is all the way to the top letting all the frequencies through? (Perhaps it automatically sets it to a low pass filter? ) have you also tried different octaves? Or different wave forms?

hey Dedabile, I took a long a break, my Patreon is not active at the moment. I am busy working on new content and a new plan, perhaps it will be a members subscription on KZread. But I am available for private tutoring, I can help you perhaps write and finish a track from start to finish if you're interested, or get critique or pointers on something specific you are working on...
