I think your first assessment of this rack was more spot on. This thing has no less than 7 touch points from putting it in the receiver to securing a bike. That’s seven points of potential failure which if you miss, or improperly adjust one, can cost you your bike. With this rack I’m always the last one ready, and the last one to leave on a group ride. I’ve never been able to tighten the no sway handle where it doesn’t face the ground and scrape the pavement on any incline. It also will not work with a 1.25” receiver adapter.

I think it looks like a super rack, Richard the only problem I see is the weight limitation two bikes that weigh 70 pounds each that’s pretty much the low end weight on any E bike. So in my eyes at the price point of this rack, it should have the ability to carry more weight. It has a lot of really good features it make it easy for you to put the bike on and strap it down. But if I’ve already had to takeoff the batteries any accessories, I put on it water bottles and so on. I’ve already been inconvenienced.

I purchased for two Aventon Adventure 2 e bikes, each at 77 lbs with the battery. Ill take the battery off for a total weight of each bike at 67 lbs. Hopefully this maximun isnt the OMG 71 lbs and trouble ahead warning.

Suggestion: can you, please, add commentary on the wheel base that racks fit? My GF and I recently converted over to ebikes and the Kuat rack that we use to transport our bikes fit her new ebike just fine. However, mine is several inches longer and didn't quite fit. In order to get mine home I had to use straps and bungy chords to hold it forward so that it didn't roll backwards and fall off the rack!

Thanks. I am an owner and recommend it. I also like that it can fold down to get into the truck bed or back of the SUV while loaded.

Hey Richard! New to your channel and really like your reviews, group rides...and the playful crap only a daughter can give to her dad. I have one...I know. 😉 I've heard nothing but great things about the Hollywood E but, the moment you said that 70# was the limit, I had to cross it off my list since we have our eyes on 2 Aventon Aventure.2s in a couple of months. Have you heard about the Young Electric racks? I've been checking them out and really like what I've seen and heard from other reviewers. 200-lb weight capacity, too! Thanx for the ride...see you in your next one!

They missed the mark on the bike weight. There isn’t a single solution that holds 80lb bikes, and gives me tailgate access to my truck bed. I’m forced into 1up or Rigd for that solution which is a full blown off-road set up that I don’t need for a whopping 1600-2400 bucks.

Sounds Iike a great rack!I with you,but if you have one that’s 70lbs , but then have the racks with tools, extra gear you don’t want to take all that off every time. You want to be ready to roll. Maybe they should consider building one that will accommodate the extra weight or even if have a bigger bike. Thanks for the review. You rock!🚴‍♂️😎

Agreed. I hope they come out with something new. eBikes are getting heavier and heavier.

I have a different brand rack that is super heavy duty. But since it is so heavy (as Richard pointed) out, I think I am going to build a little cart right at hitch height to move it around. I bought a furniture dolly from Harbor Freight as a start.

I have seen other people do the same. Makes it a lot easier to connect when you can roll right up to the hitch.

In your video I think I saw a clamp on receiver bracket do you recommend using that stabilizer bracket?

I added a hitch extender that allows me to open my tail gat part way just to have some access with out lowering the rack. The rack with two bikes is very heavy to lower. The clamp is an anti-wobble device for the hitch extension It makes all the difference. The rack has a built in anti wobble but it only works to prevent wobble to the hitch extension. I didn't want my hitch extension to be the point of wobble so I added the clamp. No wobble, it works great.
