Well any company that understands marketing a K-pop group realizes how if you get a chance to do a variety show in your rookie year you jump at the chance. While self-producing content on KZread or Vlive can be a big help with exposure for a group, variety shows on cable, major web portal sites, or network TV shows get you even more exposure especially when you are still pretty new and are trying to differentiate yourself from half a dozen or more other rookie girl groups. Obviously it helps that two members of this group were on Produce 48 and made it fairly deep into that show before elimination, so the group isn't completely unknown. That said shows like this help the less well-known members become better known giving the group more balance. So I don't think it is so much that Yuehua allowed them to do a variety show as Yuehua was eager for them to do one if given the chance and it was going to be well done (You have to be careful not to agree to a variety show that is badly done as that can be more damaging that not being on one at all). Yuehua likely sees how groups that do well on variety shows often become even more popular as it helps fans personally identify with members of the groups, and that boosts downloads, album sales, and merchandise sales. It also gives you a lot of extra social media buzz as funny or touching clips from those shows are spread online. This group's very hot debut out of the gate certainly helped them land this gig. Few rookie groups especially the first group from a new company have the success this group did right out of the gate. The great thing is that with "Adios" they appear to have actually improved on their debut from a numbers perspective.

@@rosieposie7347 Thanks for letting me know that. I did more research, and you are right. They had debuted a boy group in Korea back several years ago called UNIQ which I wasn't familiar with and I hadn't realized the company has been around in China for a while. I should probably rephrase my statement. This appears to be their first girl group to debut in Korea. Is UNIQ struggling. It looks like they haven't charted in Korea, but maybe they are mostly focused on China. I also had not realized that they were partnered with Starship regarding WJSN, which I think is managed by Starship in Korea, but appears to be managed in China by Yuehua. Is that correct? I had made some incorrect assumptions about Yuehua as I had not heard of the company prior to Produce 48 and assumed it was a new company at least in Korea and Everglow was their first group to debut in Korea.

I think it is always especially shocking for K-pop groups when foreigners recognize the. They expect that maybe some Koreans will recognize them, but seeing someone who isn't Korean recognizing you is probably kind of fun. It's probably similar for a Western artist who gets off a plan in Korea or Japan and there are fans there waiting to see them.

Though it does look like they had a little misfortune in that Red Velvet dropped their new single the same week. Though a silver lining is that they are different music genres, so they aren't as likely to get lost or go unnoticed they way they would have if they had something that sounded very similar to what Red Velvet just released.

I would expect that they will probably follow a schedule of having the prior episode subbed as they upload a new episode. That's reasonable I think. Sure it would be nice to have subtitles sooner, but getting them within a week isn't too bad.

I like how the cameramen are more faraway and just zoomed in in editing and gave them selfie sticks so they could feel more like themselves and not constantly have a cameraman breathing down their neck
