It's like my old uncle Waldorf used to say, "You never can tell". I've listed more in the last 2 days than I have all of June. Made 4 sales yesterday. I'm retired and don't work too much and avg. about 1 sale every 1.5 days. Life is funny, except when you get old. Then everything hurts and you get really grumpy. Love your content!

I've been pushing myself to list 2-3x more items per day. My sales are still down, but I make sure each day feels productive and proactive. Every day, I tell myself to get over it and work harder. I might still fail, but not for lack of trying.

That was the worst week I have ever seen in the HISTORY of e-commerce. I mean that was just unreal. Not only were sales bad, overall traffic was next to zero the entire week and all the way through last night, on items with 100% sell through rate. I was shocked tbh. Luckily the local market bought a few things from me so it wasn't a zero.

I'm sorry it's happening to other people but also glad to hear that it wasn't just me. I start getting into a state of panic when things don't move, mainly because I'm so far behind and bogged down with inventory and I'm desperate to get organized here by getting stuff out. Even local sales haven't been great though I live in a small community (30K) in the middle of the desert so it's never exactly great. But this has been a dud. However, I miss the pre-Biden era, sales were booming then.

How long have you been selling? From my experience, ebays algorithm throttles sales so naturally if they allow you $100/day and you sell a $200 item, they will throttle your sales the next day to compensate. Check your traffic on those days and see if you flatline. The only fix is to keep listing. Eventually the algorithm ups your limits to where you are getting sale after sale and struggling to keep up 😊

People just don't have what I call disposable income to buy things on a whim anymore. Unless you want to make less money for your items, it will be an issue when selling. Which I am not willing to give away things. For example, I found a brand new pair of Crocs at a yard sale. Went to list them and looked at the sold listing's to price them for sale. The very first sold listing for the exact same Crocs sold for $13.00 with free shipping. That seller made nothing and may have gone negative $$ on that sale. That is ludicrous. You can't compete with that.

In the last month, I've listed about 300 items, more than doubling my store, and as a result have increased my 31 days $ total by 87%. I have resigned from both coaching positions, and intend on focusing more on Ebay, as a teaching salary just isn't coming close to cutting it anymore.

You can buy pre-shucked corn for double the price at the supermarket. I save a ton of money by doing the work myself. Another good example is buying whole chickens for 50 cents a pound and processing and freezing them myself. Great vid!

I promote about 2-4% does not do much. 500+ listings right now, my avg sale price falls from 99.00 to 140.00 year to year. During the week with my job it is hard to find the time to do more than just get things packed up. Part of the issue is I get distracted with things and lose my focus. I average 3 to 5 sales a day. My sales are down the last week, but I was on time away for four days which bring my sales down. Would love to quit my job and do this full time but I only have 3 years to full retirement. So keep doing this part time and learn and then have fun in 3 years.

I take photos on weekends on my phone. I set up drafts using listing templates on my lunch hour, daily. I add the photos to the drafts and post in the evening while I watch TV with my guy. Full-time job, part-time reseller. Avg 1 to 2 sales a day.

Our sales are down too for the same reason. My wife is a stay at home Mom and would list when the boy was in school. Now it's summer and she's busy with him and I'm busy working. Only listing 3-8 items/week. But it's enough to support my death pile habit. 😂

Since I removed all the Brand items I had in my store that were on the Vero list, my sales are almost nil. I haven't sold 1 item in over 2 weeks. Last yr at this time I'd sold over 400 items thus far. This year only 60 something. Near 25 yrs on Ebay and their Vero policy has killed it for me. Love your videos.

My eBay store opened may 15th. I now have 205 active posts, with 60 items sold so far. Zero returns, 100% feedback (23 positive) This weekend was my best weekend since opening, sold 6 items over the weekend all ready to go to the post office this morning. Cant wait to get to that 1k+ posts and be overwhelmed with shipments on weekends! Let the grind continue! Have a good week ahead Kevin and family.

@AK36677 meh. I am head logistics supervisor for a largre multi million dollar welding supply company. I post, take sales, and ship anything from envelopes to boxes to thousands of pounds on skids, including high pressure welding bottles containing dangerous goods, and lots of perfect paperwork. On average we ship 10-30 full sized skids every single day, as well order, and unload 100-200 empty bottles and 100-200 full restock bottles out of thousands of different part numbers, every single day. Each bottle ranges from 60LB to 200 LB each, pending the product. Some liquids are upwards of 1000 lbs for a single unit. Now that's not fun, so, I come home from work to do more work but get to keep the proceeds at home, and it's much easier at home and I get to pump some music!!! Over thinking ebay is none of my concern at this moment. Maybe your right, guess time will tell

@wayshegoesgaming296 ah, don't listen to them. Ive been selling for years and regularly make 1-3k a week in sales. This year has been my best year. Salty people going to sulk and say negative things. Every year since I started has been better than the last. Actually, my first year I only made 8k in sales for the whole 9 months I had been selling lol. Now I can make that in a good month. Keep it up. Ebay is very lucrative and fruitful to those who try hard. They do not just hand you sales. You have to get buyers interested. You have to be competitive. You have to put effort into pictures and Specifics and in sourcing goods. If you work hard at it, it can become a very good full time income. But it is literally 24/7 work. It's product research, photography, warehouse management, book keeping, customer service, shipping. It becomes a living, breathing part of your life. Some people just don't know how to manage it. They don't put enough effort. They don't try very hard and expect sales to just fall into their laps. Best of luck. Some people want to gripe and groan, while others of us just get to work and make money. It's up to you and as individual to choose.

Sales are definitely slow. If you can price your items cheap enough they will sell but, its a tough game and even tougher now with the economy the way it is plus summer slow down doesn't help at all. Its all about high sell through for those who dont have a bunch of youtube subscribers/buyers or another job. Luckily I have other income so the slow sales don't effect me as much but still does somewhat.

They are down in some sections of my store. But same as always some types of items sell no matter the time of year. Niche selling is great and what a large chunk of my store is. However, this is exactly why I deal in multiple areas and not just one. I have always found the summer slow down affects sections of ebay much more than others.

I'm retired so this is just a side gig I try to keep around only 500 listings , if i sell 10 items i try to list 10 new items i also go through my listings and remove items that have not sold if they are reaching the under 15 bucks price after reducing them several times , these items end up in my garage sale .

I’m up and down, I have 2.4K items in the store and am running out of space in my shed for inventory. I’m certainly buying more than I’m selling which needs to stop. So I’m basically reverse selling meaning ending and selling similar and listing 5 or 6 new items daily which seems to be working, posted about 35 out this week which is kinda average for me.

I think it definitely has something to do with the algorithm. The more you list it seems like the more you sell, especially for eBay. It's kinda strange. If that makes sense. My strategy is and it's been working for me. I list 10 things every Sunday morning and weekday afternoons.

Nine shipments (> $500) went out July 5th (included sales from the 4th holiday), so two days of sales. Now today, Monday, I only have ONE shipment going out ($22) which represents three days of sales. It's just how it goes. Normal for a day after the weekend I would have about six sales. So today sales are LOW, but last Thursday sales were quite high. My average daily sales is $10 per day (365 days/year).

My sales have slowed vs. last month, however I’m still up about 138% this month last year in sales. I’m feeling it lol. As far as listing goes, I list 20 nee items daily. If I have a vacation coming up, like on the 18th I’m going to SC, I add more listings to the draft to compensate for the time off. So I’m creating 29 drafts a day. I’ll put my store on vacation mode but still list 20 a day.

Because I am very limited with the demand of my day job, this is my routine. Couple hours sourcing on Saturday. As soon as I get home I instantly list because if I don't I will have a deathpile. I then edit my video to get the bulk of it done. I then do real life stuff outside of reselling. Sunday finish up the video and schedule it out and back to real life stuff. It is always generally clockwork.

When I still sold, sales ALWAYS went off a cliff in the Summer. It didn't matter how much I listed; no one was looking. I was paying for a store so I maintained discipline and kept listing regardless. It all started to move in September or when a European buyer or two bought multiples while on vaycay. (before international postage went crazy and those sales died dead permanently.) When November started acting like August and the Internationals weren't around any more, it was time to quit. These days walking is getting tougher and tougher thanks to hot weather and MS both hating me, so I'm frankly glad I'm out of the game. (as for the cat sitting in "his" chair, HE sit's in the cats' chair. So say the cats.)
