Eating Penang's Famous Nasi Kandar. 🇲🇾
Looking for a late night meal in Penang I came across Nasi Kandar Line Clear; a joint famous amount Penang foodies.
Nasi Kandar is steamed rice served with a variety of curries and toppings. For me those toppings were chicken, lamb, veggies and about 5 different sauces.
I was already sweating before I got there as I decided to explore on foot rather than dare to drive the scooter in the dark. As it's a semi-outdoors join with just ceiling fans it wasn't the most comfortable experience for me. Malaysia has the be the most humid country I've ever visited. I've been to Penang and KL many times before and the weather is always close to unbearable for me.
The food was delicious though and I did eat it the local way, with my hands.
Penang is an awesome place for street food, and just food in general. That's what makes it worth visiting again and again, despite the difficult to cope with heat and humidity.

Asking to sit next to a complete stranger in a foreign country is one of the many impressive ways we watch you embrace and navigate the world. In some ways you remind me of Anthony Bourdain...especially your love of food and sharing the experience with us. Happy 2020

Nasi Kandar in Penang is a must-try. Rice with a delicious combination of sauces/curries with a choice of meat/fish/vegetables. Spicy or less spicy - a definite treat. Thank you for the video.
That looks so delicious. Wish I was there. Them street foods are so adventurous. Forget the holiday, I would be eating 24/7 If I was there .. The guy you was eating with and speaking to was very friendly which is what you want when you are so far from home. Great stuff Dale.

I miss the street food the most, from living in south east asia or probably in any developing country. Nothing like enjoying a nice meal with a cold drink amongst the chaotic energy of the city. It's the small things.
Dale, as much as I love your videos, sometimes I just like listening to your Scottish accent and expressions! Very cool my friend! Cheers ☺️☺️

50 minutes flight from Medan to Penang yaa, I Miss that nasi kandar 🥺
They mix the sauces, because they taste more or less the same and works well together. The only difference is the ‘kicap’ which is salty and red sauce ‘ayam masak merah’ which taste sweet.
Just want u to know, the person who throw the curry and mix it.That is the symbolic of nasi kandar sir.Its not dirty,Its just the tradition of indian muslim that came to malaysia and open food stall here a long time ago.
I saw these again and again..and again im Hungry and Hungry again hahahahhha
