Eating on the Floor with NO FORKS!! (Mauritania)

/ drewbinsky
THE FOOD IN MAURITANIA IS SO GOOD!
I was lucky enough to be invited into a local home for a traditional lunch today. Little did I know they dine while sitting on the floor and eat with their hands (no spoons, forks or knives). I cannot decide which I enjoyed more -- the taste of the food or the entire experience in itself. Let's just say both!
They dressed me in a "boubou" - a long, white, loose-fitting traditional garment that is typically worn every day by men. All I can say is that life is great out here in the Sahara desert!
Music: Epidemic Sound
P.S. Do you want me to do more food videos? To be honest, I prefer cultural/people videos over food, but if this gets good feedback then I will sprinkle these in more often!

A friend sent me this video, and I was really surprised that you actually came to Mauritania! If I knew I would have probably contacted you and make you visit a lot of interesting places, Mauritania isn’t only about sleeping and eating, there’s actually a lot of interesting places to visit, camel rides, long walks at the beach, dunes sliding, going on small traditional fishing boats “pirogues”, you can also visit banc d’arguin national parc, a small paradise with clear water where you can spot dolphins, whales, and a lot of other varieties of animals and birds ! And we also have the eye of the Sahara! The mystery that scientists can’t solve, The Richard structure, or if you’re interested in history you can visit the old libraries of Chinguitty, full of magical old books, oh and you can also visit the terjit oasis’s and a lot of other things..thorough the video I noticed that you only stayed in and didn’t try to experience the outside with local people; it’s such a shame that you didn’t get to experience a lot of things in this beautiful country ! But thank you anyways for visiting my country, watching this video made my day and I hope someday (maybe) you’ll comeback in here and get a real experience, you won’t regret it I promise ! Sorry my English isn’t very good, I’m an 16 years old Mauritanian girl that also enjoys visitings, travelling, new cultures etc.. Much love!

There is more to video making they meets the eye, even if the video is just 30seconds long. Want to promote this video better? Show how to use fork and knife and even chopsticks because the main aspect is eating not the food itself. People abroad are having a hard time relating to African foods for two reasons the fact that we eat it by hand and the look of how it is served. Look at how chefs are presenting their meals and you will see the difference in presentation. Show in videos that show food products eatten by hand they we wash out hands thoroughly And not just from the streets into the food, don't assume that they should know better. People use cutleries not because they are convinient but because food is hot, food is messy I repeat that there is nothing wrong with eating food with hands just show how and the art of it. Japanise chefs who make sushi with hands are always with a white towel wiping off their hands and always washing their hands from contaminants. Just loading food on the plate makes things look sloppy unattractive. Restaurant people need to understand that less is more even if people want to see full plates there is a way to present it. Try the art of Japanise serving style on a plate for African foods and have fun talking about it as a promotion of the food culture if you like it. There are certain foods you can't eat without a spoon they is soups like the African pepersoup and you can eat salads without s fork, you can eat certain salads with spoon but some chopsticks can be convinient. There was a person I knew that would eat food with cutleries at home but will eat same food outdoors with hand. At home where everything is clean he wouldn't eat with hands but when outside where it's less hygienic he is with his hands This is a sample contents that sponsor will put his or her name on and it will and should generate a good following. There are people who are making hits on videos via KZread and making £1,300 pounds per video followership of 1 million subscribers The way to drive the video to have a following you need to come up with an action plan on how you will aproach making the video interesting to watch from the first five seconds because five seconds is what you have even if your video might be 10min long, the standard amount of time they people like to spend on a video is 3 and half min so you reely need to plan a ten min video they a sponsor would like to be a part of becsue the more the time the more his opportunity to promote what he does even if what he does doesnt relate to what you are doing. Contrasts brings attention, certain words are too distracting to use in videos, People want to see the elements of what HELPS, SUPPORTS, AND ASSISTS them so divide your video into three parts by identifying what helps in the video to notice, what assists the video to be watched and what supports the video to be promoted. And elements of professional lifestyles that it creates, for instance the lifestyle of a doctor's reaction towards a video, or how an engineer will respond to your video. Every video must have a personality and you can help yourself by knowing the 16 types of personalities they have been identified, in example the negotiator, the adventurer, the poet, the generalist etc look it up on Google search and watch KZread videos about this topic In creating a video consider using the project management principles and use events management guides and rules to help you bring your video to life Also understand what it means to do video administration, video sales and marketing, video operations plans, and most importantly understand what development, production post production, production and execution means. If this is too complicated for you to understand I will explain just point out where. Be patient but they doesn't mean be slow.
