Honestly my favorite childhood memory was going to those tiny naengmyeon shops with my family on the weekend. It's just so nostalgic and I've started to appreciate it more!

Love this. Growing up in a white neighborhood a lot of my buddies in school were from Asia so they’d always share there cuisines with me cause I was tried of the same turkey sandwiches all the time. Always brings back memories black bean noodles or even teobokki ❤❤❤

This sounds so dumb but instant packet or cup noodles are my comfort food 😭 like whenever im sad or ill i'll just go down to the nearest corner shop or supermarket and get myself a pack or two, and I'll usually pair it will tea or another one of my favourite drinks!! It's so good and you always have to add a slice of cheese on top 😭😭

My comfort food is definitely spaghetti. Specifically made the way my dad made it for my family growing up. Food's one of my love languages so making spaghetti for my family now isn't only a labor of love. It's also showing them how much I want to care for them.

JJangmeyeon was made every Saturday at our home. We would get excited as soon as Sat came lol. 😂

I've only seen this in Asian people, but everytime they eat a traditional/home meal, they close their eyes super tight. It's like they are taking it all in: the taste of the food, the meaning and memories behind it, etc. 🥺🥺✨️✨️

"everytime Asians eat they close their eyes super tight" Baby no, you've been watching too many Asian food content creators and/or mukbangs but that ain't a representation of REAL LIFE. I'm Asian and a lot of us don't do that. Sometimes, SOMETIMES women will make these faces to look childlike and cutesy, since being cutesy and looking "innocent" is the standard in most East Asian countries. But it's hardly ever genuine, especially faces this exaggerated lol

It is so comforting to hear his stories about life 😊 How he too struggled when he was starting working, now he is more comfortable with his own shop and children that have finished school ❤
