You only scan it once then hit multiply by 50 (or how ever many he bought) The eggs all have the same bar code. So no need to scan each egg separately.

As an American myself, kinder eggs do exist here but there different, here the toy and chocolate are separated in 2 different halfs and the halfs both have plastic covers that you can peel off and the 2 halfs are like glued together or something.
