EATING FROM THE PANTRY SAVES MONEY // SEEMINDYMOM PANTRY CHALLENGE JANUARY 2022

Ya'll know I love a good pantry cooking challenge, where I look around my kitchen and make an effort to use up open packages of items, produce at it's peak, and short-dated perishable items. Hopefully there is some inspiration or some ideas here for your household! I find that delaying my grocery trip in this manner saves us money, plus we're being good stewards of the money we've already spent!

Ha! I'm so happy you showed us the saved dutch oven. I'm glad the dinner turned out good, but losing that pot-- that would be awful!! Your meals are so "what normal people would cook" and I love that! Oh, and you did a great job filming as your kid was staring at you! (we could see in the microwave!)

I have def adopted this philosophy of using up what I have ranging from the pantry to my makeup collection. It is crazy how much we think we need or just want and how much of those things are wasted. Looking forward to continuing this mentality this yr ♥️

Do you keep a list especially with the makeup? Or do you just go thru what you have and use it up .. I find myself forgetting or not being mindful enough of what I have and tend to buy doubles by accident thinking I already used something up! (For ex, my fav mascara ..)

You are such a natural at combining pantry items into delicious meals! I have been cooking for only about two years and I experiment a lot! Rs your enamel pot, empty out the food. Add a few inches of water. Add a laundry dryer sheet. Bring to boil uncovered. Turn off heat, put on lid & let it sit for a few hours. All the burnt on food will lift away! Then wash pot as usual.

HOLY SMOKES! I never fail to get at least two or three recipe ideas from your videos. This one was GREAT! I had some BBQ pork shoulder in the fridge and used it to make some enchiladas and a soup. The best thing is that your videos keep me from standing in front of my fridge or pantry. Thanks a million !
