Hi Steve , Great review , I’ve watched several vids of Helena’s and Man v Food , Adam Richman when he went there. Some how you are the man , you have a knack of getting the most out of these restaurants. You manage to get all the inside knowledge to give us YT viewers of what to expect ! Cheers Rod 🤙

Thrilled and ecstatic that this place is still here. We have lost too many restaurants because of Covid. Sadly, this place is not open on weekends.

I had amazingly poi one time. It tasted so fresh and delicious. most of poi I’ve tasted are probably from a package made on an industrial scale. Definitely mix it with your foods.

For whatever reason, the Hawaiian short ribs are just better than LA kalbi served at Ktown to me. It's just so flavorful and every place in Hawaii that I've had short ribs have such a huge smokiness to it compared to traditional LA kalbi.

The poi he is eating isn’t Pai’ai (Traditional Hawaiian made poi) If the poi is tangy in flavor it’s because it’s old. Fresh poi isn’t tangy in flavor. Bag over the counter poi is made and sold maybe 2 -3 days old

Aloha Kakou, first off that’s not traditional Hawaiian food. And there’s no A in HONOLULU (Hanalulu)? Their food is good at that restaurant but that’s not traditional Hawaiian food if you really want traditional Hawaiian food you can find it at Haili’s I’m not sure why are you using the term “traditional Hawaiian food“ there is no opihi, Ake, na’au pua, raw crab, limu poke (Traditional Hawaiian real poke). Helena’s has great food but it’s not traditional Hawaiian food sorry guys. Great video though you got to eat LauLau and squid luau lol is a Hawaiian dish
