I'm just saying, almost every time I've gone to one of these hole in the wall sketchy looking places, it's been some of the best food I've ever had. These greasy spoons and dive bars absolutely stand out in the food scene and deserve so much more credit than what they get.

The twigs you're talking about are thyme. It's super common in food and delicious, and the fact that you got that much, including the stem in a single serving, means they really really care how the food tastes.

Jamaican's do pride themselves on food cooked fresh and spicy. When it comes to mac and cheese they make sure that it's on point. I would've went with brown rice and peas instead of the yellow rice.

Hey Taylor Bros, "jerk" chicken means the spice blend, and the barbecue technique. The spice blend typically contains powdered onion and garlic, cumin, nutmeg, allspice, smoked paprika, cinnamon. Red pepper, cayenne pepper and a pinch of brown sugar round out the flavor. According to most food historians the “Jerk” comes from a Peruvian word “Charqui” meaning dried strips of meat like what we call “Jerky”. Arawak indians from Peru migrated to Jamaica over 2500 years ago, bringing their customary foods. 🔥🍗🍗🍗🔥 Hey, sketchiest place is a fun series!!

I question the bougie looking places more because a lot of the time, I’m being ripped off for something that’s not as good as the hole in the wall place with a C health rating

Can't go wrong with the oxtails & jerk chicken. What looks like twigs is actually thyme stem, one of the staple herbs/spices along with pimento aka allspice used in Jamaican cooking. Next time try the rice & peas instead of yellow rice. The portions are hefty. We do love our food.

Back in the day Fat Moe's was the place to eat in Nashville. They were even featured multiple times on Food Network. Sadly, quality has gone down considerably in the last 20ish years. I actually worked in that building next door to the place you went, back then it was a pawn shop. The super deluxe was big enough to eat on for 2-3 days. I totally agree. NO SEASONING!!!!!! All the locations went out of business except the one you went to.....Antioch isn't that great a place to visit no anyways.

I enjoy the vids Brennen, but damn yall gotta stop trying to pull off the Southern expressions bro. It's cringe AF. Glad you get to enjoy some great looking food though! And that french dip, hell yes!

I’m glad you learned your lesson. Always bring cash to Nashville food trucks no matter what. Also open carry is legal with no permit
