Eating at Fish Camp on Lake Eustis Restaraunt in Tavares, Florida | Refresh Review & Crab Legs
In today's video, we wanted to do a refresh review at a restaurant in Tavares that we ate at a couple years ago. It is called Fish Camp on Lake Eustis and it is in Tavares, Florida. We wanted to eat at a restaurant with crab legs in central Florida and we thought we would give this one a try. It seems like this restaurant in Tavares is always busy, and rightfully so, since it is on the water but we would recommend getting a reservation. The staff was friendly and worked very hard. You can have an outdoor seat or an indoor seat. As far as the menu goes, they have some excellent daily specials. We were there on the margarita and steak night. We decided to try a couple things but the main reason we were there was to get crab legs. We wanted to find some crab legs in central Florida. Unfortunately, the crab meat wasn’t working and each time we tried to get it out of the shell, it would come out shredded. It was a big mess and took forever but the taste of the crab legs were fine, just the meat would stay together. The seafood trio was good, too. We really liked the clam chowder and the parm fries. The creme brûlée was okay, but we have had better. Overall, we were able to try some crab legs, which weren’t too pricey considering crab legs are very expensive these days. If you are looking for a seafood restaurant in Tavares, Florida, Fish Camp on Lake Eustis gives you another option!

The place looked good but it sounds like the crab legs were overcooked. The clam chowder looked to be a little thin. Thanks for sharing your experience

Grouper is a fav. Reuben also. Gotta do grouper Reuben . Trio dish as a side.I am a mess with crab knuckles

The Fish Camps in St. Augustine and Jacksonville are sooo much better than this one. We didn't care for fish camp in Tavares.

Yeah this one is pretty good but is hit and miss. Will have to try the other locations as we didn’t know there were other ones!
I thought this place was terrible 4 of is no one liked their meal . My fish tacos were like fish sticks and burnt

That stinks! It must be hit or miss. As many people that were coming through the door, they must have more good nights than bad but sorry your experience was bad!

ate there not impressed just average on water dining spot. Have had far better seafood options at othe venues.

That is how we felt with this last visit. Seems like a lot of people like it but we also found it to be average. Let us know some of your spots!
