After peeling the adhesive and press it onto the fabric, the area around the cut adhesive also got glue, thus making it a glue square... Should I have used a TTD transfer to remove the adhesive? My adhesive is pink by the way instead of white!

Can you make a tutorial on how to use Siser adhesive to make sweat activated message t-shirt?

I got a big roll of this adhesive to iron amagic textile foils onto a pair of of denim jeans. I wanted the foil all over the jeans. Used a home iron and not the heat press. I ended up ruining my home iron as the adhesive stuck to the iron. Given that i probably used the wrong side on the iron, i flipped over the adhesive sheet and attempted it again (Heat setting between cotton and linen on my home iron as mentioned on the Siser website) Now the adhesive kind of makes a clumped up film on my jeans and some foil sticks and some areas are left unfoiled. But the unfoiled areas show a clear clumpy glue film that doesnt get activated when i layer foil onto it and press it down with a hot iron. Not sure what im doing wrong but im not liking this product.

We're really sorry to hear bout your jeans. Nobody likes a failed project- nonetheless a ruined pair of jeans!! Were you using a cover sheet? Our advice is to use a Teflon cover sheet to avoid any mishaps with the adhesive sticking to anything it shouldn't be. Parchment/butcher paper can work in a pinch, however the Teflon cover sheets are designed to be multi-use and non-stick! Hopefully that helps! Maybe give it another go on a test piece of cloth (with a cover sheet) if you're determined to dazzle more jeans!

@@SiserNorthAmerica Hi. The home iron experiments for transferring the adhesive failed several times. I did succeed in getting a good peel when using a heat press. However, i want to do the entire jeans with foil. My heat press is a 10 X 12 inch press so i can do only sections at a time. Should i first transfer the easyweed adhesive all over the jeans in small sections and then once the adhesive is on one side then begin foiling that side? My concern is that the adhesive sections if overlapped with wrinkle up like a wrinkled plastic film (this has happened at time - not sure why) Suggestions?

can u do this application with an home iron?

I've had issues with the adhesive having gaps or stripes when tacking down prior to adding the foil, which then looks horrible. Is this more of a heat or pressure issue? Also the foil occasionally will stick to any adhesive from the HTV when layering. Any tips? Is it a heat or pressure issue. Using an easy-press unit currently.

Hi! Yes you can, EasyWeed Adhesive has the same bond as EasyWeed allowing you to layer the two.

Can you layer another fabric piece on top of the adhesive? For example the Adhesive square is already applied on shirt but now I want to layer a fabric square on top of the adhesive.

yes! that is one process not many people try.... EasyWeed Adhesive can adhere fabrics to each other. Folks in the embroidery world do this a lot.

@@SiserNorthAmerica 🙌🏾 I have a Epson Sublimation printer and i found sublimation on glitter is an amazing process, I make hat patches with that. Now seeing this, I thought of more ideas, that’s why I asked that question. I’m trying to find other ways to use my vinyl cutter and sublimation machine before investing into a embroidery machine. Also can the adhesive be used on leather as if I’m making leather patches??

yes, that should allow you to cut through EasyWeed Adhesive! We have all our recommended cut settings right on our Siser App! :)

These foils come in a wide variety of colors and patterns. It's also an inexpensive route.....but the longevity does not compare to how long our Metal HTV lasts.

Can I sublimated on the adhesive???

Unfortunately, you cannot get the Textile Foil to stick without using heat....so you would have to use a heating source, as well as a double sided adhesive.

SiserNorthAmerica I have both. Cricut mini Heat press, heat gun, laminators, foil quill... several double stick adhesives. And siser easy weed adhesive. I can’t get a clean image. The best I can get is foil to double stick adhesive, laminate, then cut into decal. But how long will that last on a window? I also have deco foil double stick toner sheets. They suck! The only place the foil stick was where I had the adhesive... which beats the point of toner sheets...

Unfortunately, this product cannot be used on a printer. You need a vinyl cutter to cut the design out and then a heat press to heat apply your transfer to your textile.

The results may vary with the washing. Thetextile foils can be temperamental.
