True enough

I felt every pain and frustrations that the characters have. Everything is just relatable and I couldn’t stop crying every episode. I have a very sensitive spot when it comes to family and I admire the casts for portraying each characters. Huge respect to the writers and director because they just made a brilliant storyline.

I’m an Arab but the connection I felt while watching this drama was unbelievable. I remember being a kid and my grandmother gives me food, fruits, and whatever we have and asks me to take it to our neighbors and then they give me anything they have and asks me to take it home to my grandmother so it was similar to the first episodes of the drama. I also remember how we used to sit outside the house with the fruits we have or the sweets we made while watching the people who come and go across us. It also reminded me of how we listen to the radio to know the news and what’s happening around the world or in our country. And us going to our neighbor’s house and play board/card games and watch tv together or play the old video games after coming back from the grocery while having ice cream and snacks. And how we all used to go to the school together every morning. I miss those simple days. This is the thing that makes reply 1988 so great, it was a family based drama and it was literally the most heartwarming drama ever, it touched my soul and heart with every single episode. The plot was not about who will end up with who, it was about families, neighbors, best friends and their youth. it was beautifully shown how they were always by each others sides. It was about family bond, parents and their children. It was about the struggles and hardships in life. It was about a period of time and stories that will forever leave a great impact in my heart.

They literally made a complete masterpiece! I've watched tons of series, dramas, and movies. Somehow family & friendship-based storyline always wins over my heart. And this drama is hands down one of the best series I've watched till now.

Just finished watching reply 1988. This drama literally gives me a mixed emotions all through out the episodes. Can't explain what I am feeling after watching it. It was such a great great great drama plus its soundtrack can make you miss your childhood and realize things in life. Bow down to this Korean drama.

Time really is our greatest oppressor. I remember singing this years ago and realized that I aged. Coming back to this once again, I felt sad because my days are shorter, and happy because I've spent it appreciating art like Reply 1988 :>

this song and drama realy knock me down, all the past and memories come back and hit me, alot of fears and hasitations.

Everything from this drama was absolutely stunning, from the plot to the acting to the OST. Reply 1988 is definitely one of my favourite dramas ever.

in the debut episodes of variety reality show , the casts visited composer and original singer Jeon In-kwon and he explained how he loved standing on a cafe balcony watching passerby and cars went passed him, leaving only their back views. "everything passes, and new things will arrive. " the `let the past be past` sentiments inspired him to compose many songs, including this one.

I didn't completely understand this song as I am still learning the language, but from the parts I did understand, I knew the lyrics and the song were touching. The struggles of studying​, life, college, and parental expectations from reply 1988 really hit me this year because it was my senior year. I didn't get into the college I wanted to over a tiny mistake that breaks my heart now, but listening to this song consoled me. It reminds me to let go of things and focus on the present and my future. Love this song.

I watched Reply-1988 on May 2020, because of quarantine time due to Covid 19. And I really touched by this drama. This drama is so amazing ❤️ even hearing this song as OST makes me feel sad. Reply 1988 is the best K-drama so far.

I watched this drama back in 2019 when I was 19. Even though I enjoyed the drama I wasn't able to realise that I was in my golden youth just like them.....but now I am 24 and I think I am just feeling the same guilt of not able to go back to those warm and cosy days with my family and friends🥺 I miss those days because it was not only my youth but also my parent's , when they appeared more stronger like deoksun said🥺 Reply 1988 is something which will become more and more comforting as time passes....❤❤❤

Honestly Reply 1988 was a masterpiece I have never recovered from since it finished airing. The OST keeps me going. So beautiful
