Easy way to run WS2812B LEDS (aka Neopixels)
On our way of making the big display..
An arduino lighting up nearly 3000 of them tiny but too bright LEDs??
Sure, let's do that!

Finally, improved the design flaws and got some more of them boards printed! They are available here:
www.ebay.com/itm/142956608448
You can buy your stuff there:
( Buying through those get's me a commission and probably a buck or two. Of course I'm not expecting of you shopping all your stuff here, but in case you dont have a place in mind, you can find yourself some pretty good deals here actually!)
-WS2812B LEDs (just like the ones I 'm using in the video)

-LED strips of those

-Arduino UNO (clone)

Some serious voltage drop happening here. The reason is because you wired them all in series. You need to give each matrix power in parallel (that's why they have the 2 extra power cords). Only the data should be in series, with a 300-500 ohm resistor before your first LED.
You remember me quite of myself. Now I am settled in my fifties, but unfortunately do nothing of this stuff any more, because I had no choice but to go the way the money goes. However I appreciate much the energy other people invest into finding their own road!
WoW! That is a lot of heavy LEaD's!!! Ardiuno(ATMEGA328P) capacity --> 1024 WS2812B LED's x 14 Digital cannels... 14336 WS2812B LED's! ... Let's do some more math... 14336 WS2812B LED's x 60ma = 860160ma(~860 AMPS!)... Good luck driving that!
Thanks for sharing such an Awesome video.
Hello,
Dude! Total respect for doing all them boards by hand!!
Brilliant video. Thank you. I need to do this for 10 (256) panels wirelessly. Is is possible ?
can you do that with a RaspberryPi? I need network connection and don't want to add the wifi module to the Arduino.
Can v connect to the controller (t1000s)
2812 leds have capacitor for each one , is it work if we use just one capacitor for all and what is the value of the capacitor ? thanks
Buen trabajo, como siempre. Me cuesta seguirte en inglés pero hago lo que puedo
