Bonehead jigs are awesome. I don't think I got any of the shad bodies but I did get some grubs and minnows. They work very well in our river system here in MS.

Richard I've been crappie fishing last couple days....I have been doing pretty good. MY GF is like ? When I go whew everytime I catch one...then today when I said let's let him go. Then I sent her over the edge when I told her to go fishing when you can.....cause it's good Fer ya! I bet many fisherman are like whew when they get one on! Ty for all the education and free enjoyment.

I went fishing (when I could today because it’s good for me) from the bank at Lake Purdy (for you central Alabama folks) today for a little bit. I threw every jig and every combination of plastics I had for it and nothing. So I put an worm that I dug up from my back yard and he took it. Also caught a good size gill. They’re flayed up in my fridge now. I used to fish a lot when I was young but have forgotten most of it. RGTFM has me going at it again at 40 yrs old. I’m still no good but every time I go I feel like I get a little better and better. I just keep watching Richard and keep on trying. This video is exactly what I needed to see today. Richard if you see this I’ll be at Honeycomb campground close to the north side of the Guntersville dam during the weekend of the 15th this month. I hope I run into you!

Great video again Richard. You have a very good teaching presentations, you tell where you are, water temp and clarity, weather conditions, bait used, equipment used and presentation technique. It's almost like you do this sort of thing for a living. HA As usual you were correct about another thing, get outside and enjoy the day God has given you. WOOOO!! Another great video Richard. Here in Iowa on the Mississippi there's rumor that some crappie are being caught, but you know how rumors go, that same guy is always catching fish. Bank fishing takes me back to where it all started and I still enjoy it, albeit the occasional trip on a branch or the slippery rock that wasn't there yesterday! I’m 47 years old live in North West Florida and have tried to catch crappy my whole fishing life and yet have I caught, hope watching your videos will one day help me to catch one! I actually have bought every lure that I have seen you use over the last few months to catch crappy but they haven’t worked for me, lol! I even bought me and my son a new crappy rod and reel but they haven’t produced any crappy just a few small bass and bream. I will keep watching you catch them and keep praying I will eventually get the skill or luck I need to catch them. Thank you from Florida!

If the body of water has them, they are shallow right now as RGTFM said. Find just about any bank with a slight drop in 3' - 5' of water. The rip rap or rocks are prime locations now.

Great video Richard! I'm stuck to bank fishing 🎣. Things have been just terrible at my local reservoir. No one is catching anything. I hooked one crappie this morning, and my knot failed, so he left with my jig too. That was my only bite also. 😒
