I've had this game for 2 and a half years, and spent 6 weeks trying to get this last trophy, at 98% of trophies. When I finally get it I'm going to get out the fat man and nuke the crap out of them. That will give ME 100% happiness!

@@stablish4314 I did. Got 100 %. The secret is charisma 10, and community leader with a bunch of vendors. The nuking wasn't even very satisfying, because the settlers ignored me blasting them. And it did more damage to me than them, anyway, even at a distance. That's fallout for you...

I'm gonna do that with deathclaws lol. Already have 10 in sanctuary and I'm gonna allow a few more to arrive. Once I get this achievement I'm moving all my companions to another settlement then I'm shutting the beta wave emitter off.

Still works perfectly with the next-gen version.

Well I’ll give this one a try then because yesterday a perfectly fine 20 people settlement stuck at 95% happiness dropped to 87% when I went to visit and all of the people decided to quit everything as soon as I woke up from a sleep, then after reassigning everyone to a job and going to gather resources it suddenly plummeted to 70%. It was too annoying for me back when I was playing on my ps4 version, so this time I want to get it.

Worked flawlessly, thank you! Took me 4 hours IRL, but I started at 20%. I sent Anne Hargraves from Sanctuary to Red Rocket Truck Stop, and stuck her at a tier 3 bar. I put 2 sleeping bags in the room where the terminal used to be before I deleted it. I slept from 9PM to 7AM, idled from 7AM to 9 AM, slept from 9AM to 7 PM, idled from 7PM to 9PM, and kept repeating. After getting from 20% to 80%, it took me 10 days in game to get from 80% to 100%. I was attacked by super mutants twice, and raiders once. To make the idle time go by faster, I would mess around with building stuff for fun. I built a stairway to heaven and built some walls to hang up a lot of cat pictures. I also built a Radstag cage, and then eventually a Yao Gui cage. Hope this helps someone...

6/22/19 still works. After all these years i finally got that platnum thanks to you. Liked and subscribed. Thank you for all the hard work :)

Got it on my first attempt, no red arrow at any time! I got it after around 2 IRL hours, so I'll give some tips. -After you place your settler at the station, place a radio right next to them to increase their happiness faster (I had mine tuned to Diamond City radio) -Make sure you have enough food and don't run low at any time. -Work on a schedule, I followed one from a comment from this same video that said the following: -Sleep from 10 pm to 8 am -Idle for 2 hours (8 am to 10 am) -Wait for 10 hours (You can place a bench, wait there from 10 am to 8 pm) -Idle another 2 hours (8 pm to 10 pm) -Sleep from 10 pm to 8 am and repeat until you get 100 happiness. -Lastly, try to place LOTS of paintings in your settlement, they don't need to be right next to the station or the settler, just about anywhere, and make sure to place as many as you can as they also increase the settler happiness faster. After following all of this, you should get your trophy/achievement after 2 hours more or less, I personally started at 20% happiness and got to 100% in around 2 hours like I said at the beginning. Good luck everyone, and hopefully you don't get any trouble at all while attempting to get this achievement!

I did this today and only after reaching 100% settlement happiness realized that I can't get achievements because I have mods enabled. At least it was easy thanks to your guide.

11 may 2024: confirmed this method still works, got the platinum with this method, thank you, even with the new update. Took me 4 hours followed the video and the comments. Placed a lot of paintings in red rocket

@@travispearson2848 I did the following: - followed the video - 1 settler, lvl 2 bar - i had 4 turrets, defense 20, 1 turret at every corner, had ti defend 2 times - sent my companion away - put 20 mutfruit in the workshop and refilled to 20 when dropped - put a radio with diamond city radio near the settler Placed a bench so i could sit and wait Placed paintings everywhere - pattern: 8AM-10AM = Idle; just do nothing or walk. I put a timer on my phone, its around 5:30 minutes. 10Am-08PM = waiting on a bench 08PM-10PM = Idle again 10PM-8AM = sleep Repeat until 100. I made a manual save after every raise in happines. From 95 it goes up 1 at a time. Hope it helps

2020: THANK YOU SOOO MUCH i struggled for hours and hours with this achievement.i was on 95% but it didn't got any higher with 2 settlers, 9 water, 48 defense, 6 food, a level 3 clinic and lots and lots of paintings.so, i researched a bit, found ur video and send one settler away and tried this methode.after one hour i finally got my platinum for fallout 4. thank you so much :)

Always keep an eye on the arrow next to the happiness number. I had 2 people at red rocket, one In a shop and one collecting food. The arrow disappeared at 95. I sent the worker collecting food to another settlement and the arrow came back and I went to 100. Make sure you have plenty of food and water in storage before you send the one worker away

Gonna try this if my arrow disappears again. My arrow disappeared at 90. So I built more shops and the vault 88 items (phoropter, soda machine, slot machine) and so far it has helped. Hoping I get this trophy

After 5 years of playing I finally got the platinum trophy thanks to this video! Just follow some of the tips and tricks from the videos and comments and it should work! Also it most certainly can work with just one settler, I did mine with one settler in Hangman’s Alley.

Just got the trophy in 2022, can confirm it works thank you for the guide. I did it in covenant with 1 settler and started by sleeping until 7 than idling until 9 then waiting until 5 and again idling until 7 and repeating until I got it. Can also confirm that I was a high level of 83 so it should (hopefully) work no matter the level. Good luck!

Work for me, very easy. I added extra turrets because It kept getting attacked taking me down from 98% to 90%. After ding this I carried on doing side missions going back occasionally to make sure there was enough food in stock. After several hours of gameplay the trophy popped. Thanks very much.

Still works in 2022 on PS4. I added a few gym equipment items as well. Did my set up in the garage and locked the doors so there isnt any worry when youre afk that you get attacked. Takes a hell of a long time.

Good Video! I can confirm that this technique works as of 2020, at least on PS4. I did leave the settlements a couple times to do some small quests, but I would always come back afterwards and spend a few days before I left again. It was slow going, but I did get the trophy. Also, the man who sells the dogs walked by Red Rocket while I was there so I sent a dog there, which maybe sped things up? If it didn't, I still got a dog!

I haven't been able to get this stupid trophy for five years. FIVE YEARS. My first dint was in Sanctuary, I spent a week trying to get it to 100% before realising it was bugged. The next was Covenant, filled with 20 settlers. It failed too. And eventually I resigned myself to never getting this achievement, being stuck forever on 97% completed trophies. And after doing the instructions in this video, I got it within three hours. I know it's a dramatic long-winded comment, but I've been trying off and on for five years, and thanks to your video I have finally got it.

Just some info. Once set up, you dont actually have to stay there. I went Bobble head hunting, and it popped while i was in a building. So get them trophies!

This video is the bomb! I just got my trophy! Thank you so so so much! I did it at Starlight Drive, and followed your directions. This method is cost effective because other methods required 5-6 settlers all manning tier 2-3 shops. While yours only needed 1! THANKS A MILLION! This trophy has eluded me for months

Only got attacked once as well! I stuck close to the schedule you reccomend as well, i would idle 2 hrs, wait 10hrs, idle 2 hrs, and sleep 10hrs, and repeat! I would leave to sanctuary for a few to collect caps from the stores i had there, and also the drive in was attacked so i ran there real quick to help, and on separate dsy i ran to tenepese bluff to build a turret because they were unhappy. So as long as you arent gone from red rocket more than 2 hrs which i counted as idle time, it wont be affected!! It took me from nothing to 100 in about 4-4.5 hours total, in real life time to accomplish!!

Still works as of mid July 2020, it took me about 4 hours to get. Like the video states have the local leader 2 perk, build a level 3 bar, and assign a settler to it. Then build 2 beds, a turret, a bench/chair for waiting, and a water pump. I didn’t mention food because I barely had any food and it still worked for me, I started off with 27 mutifruit but after my first cycle most of it was gone, so to compensate for not having food I built 2 turrets and 2 water pumps instead of one. To make your settler’s happiness increase faster give them a clean suit to wear, build a radio or two by them (I built two to compensate for not having food), and place down as many paintings as you can. I also had some melon and corn in my inventory so I planted them in the settlement, idk if that helped at all or compensated for me not having food located in the workshop, but I just thought i’d tell you. So just follow this process: -Sleep from 10 PM till 8 AM (10 Hours) -Idle for two in game hours till you reach 10 AM (Be sure to check the in game time once or twice while you are on your phone or watching something, so you know when you are getting close to 10 AM) -When you reach 10 AM wait till 8 PM (10 Hours) -Idle for two in game hours till you reach 10 PM (Be sure to check the in game time once or twice while you are on your phone or watching something, so you know when you are getting close to 10 PM) -Lastly just rinse and repeat this cycle till you reach 100 happiness For me after I started doing the cycle, the happiness would tend to go up either when I woke up at 8 AM or right before I went to bed at 10 PM. Also for me at first the happiness would increase by 8 to 10 after every cycle, then as it got higher it would only increase by 7 to 5 after every cycle, then when I got in the 80’s it would only increase by 4 to 2 after every cycle, and lastly when it got in the mid 90’s it would only increase by one after every cycle. This was just my experience though, I thought I’d tell you everything that happened to me in detail so if the same happens to you, you’ll know it’s working.

i did some of what the video show's. but i also add 1 settler assigned T2. medic shop. and invest 500 caps. a few times and 95% went to 100% happy in no time.

9/12/19 This guide helped me get it, thank you so much! My schedule was: Sleep from 10pm to 8am Idle for 2 in game hours Wait for 10 in game hours Idle again for 2 hours And finally go to sleep at 10pm. I did stay in the property the whole time, never left, I would build and destroy things in the settlement so not sure if that helps in the happiness area. Followed the video exactly.

I must thank the Author of this Video! I had begin to lose hope. I did exactly as this video said and it worked for me. Sure it takes a lot of time. 2 to 3 hours! I will suggest to the player to creat even a Radio, I think it helps.

Stuck at 96. It's been a few days and nothing. I have water, food and everything. I've been waiting from 12pm-8pm and then sleeping from 8pm to 8am. It worked between 80 till 96. I hate this trophy

As of Nov 1 2022 still working. To improve the time it takes add paintings around the walls inside and add a radio next to your settler for increase happiness also add an extra 2 turrets because I was at 99 Happiness then some Gunners came by attacked and took it down back to 85 so the extras turrets aren’t needed but a precaution.

Just got this one finally. My suggestion is to make sure that all settlers have a bed assigned along with respective positions. Had 5 tier 3 clinics, 1 tier 3 bar, and 1 tier 3 trader. Once I figured our where the missing settler was and assigned beds. 80 to 100 in about 2 hours.

Thanks, works 2024 after next gen patch. Best tip i can give is dont leave it last achievement but do it early as possible. Idling and waiting sucks but if you set up settlement just play game and eventually it goes to 100. From time to time check happiness is going up, If attacked go and help(happened once).

Worked great for me! Fallout 4 vanilla on Series X, Nov 2022 I jumped the section with sleeping and waiting, had no hurry, just played then boom!

Amazing. Worked perfectly. I used a clinic and it took closer to two hours. Not sure if that was just luck though.

Just got this and its alot easier then I remember, here are some tips. I did this at the end of my run so I was lvl 50 and any perks I was missing I used console commands to get them (stuff like local leader, etc) then I followed Reloads guide expect when he said to go idle I just went to go get bobble heads. After one or two heads I would come back wait / rest and make sure my settler had enough food and he was happy. Going back and forth I got both the bobble head achievement and this one. Happy hunting.

Good to know you can leave the settlement! It must've been a glitch when I was doing it that when I'd leave, the happiness will either stop increasing or just dip for no reason.

After like 5 years I decided to come back and try to get this damn trophy.

When does the food I put in the workshop update? I put 40 tato in and it still shows 0 food

After completing the main story, I built my settlement at sanctuary to a bigger size. Lots of clinics, 18 settlers, enough food etc. Then I started grinding Preston's side quests all the time. Happines went from 88 to 95 in a couple of hours.

How do U give them food, I'm stuck at 80 and the worker says she is hungry, I put heaps of corn and other food in the workshop but food is at 0 (green), when I take food out of the workshop food is still at 0 but it's red and a down arrow, pls help

Can confirm this works as of May/2020. Did exactly as he showed. No supply lines, water, defense, I had a bunch of carrots and gourds in workstation. It took about 4 hours in real time. Slept till 6am, set timer for 6.5mins irl, came back waited for 8 hours, timer for 6.5 mins irl, slept till 6am. I gave him a clean blue suit too

I'm currently trying to get this achievement for a few months now, I tried Sanctuary and I saw your vid on it, I just have two questions, does it matter if two settlers are their with the proper resources at the settlement ( water, food, defense), and what do you mean about sleeping over night? Still works on 2024. What I did was: I setted everything and went to farm the XP needed to level 50 and hack 50 terminals. When I went to check the place it was already in 99, so I just waited like 10 minutes. Thanks a whole lot, man!

Do you have to fill the settlement with enough stuff to bring the "size" bar to yellow? Other videos are showing that step, but I noticed you skipped it.

In my experience you don't have to. I left the Red Rocket as is, didn't bother with bringing the size up to yellow. I'm pretty sure it's either a coding oversight or someone made a mistake in the description of the achievement :)

I did this with a ghoul worker from The Slog that I moved to Oberland Station but the green arrow dissapeared after I reached 80% happiness. Is the happiness still rising without showing me or did it stop working and why?

how do you keep your food above zero when you assign the settler to the bar? as soon as I take the settler away from gardening, my food amount drops to zero and happiness drops as well.

nevermind. got it with 5 settlers, 2 on food, 2 on clinics, and 1 on the bar.
