The bit about selling on Amazon that I don’t understand is, if an item is already selling well and I decide to list it too, what/who determines who’s item gets sold? Surely it would be the original seller?

I'd love to see someone like you do this as a kinda diary vid journal from beginner onwards. I don't see much for the UK on it other than some wild claims of riches which I guess I'm a little cynical on. Similar to any other platform, if you know the item is selling say 10 a week and there's 5 sellers then it won't be too long until the others sell out. Also you can win the buy box depending on your seller metrics but apparently its rotated if there's multiple sellers but the higher your seller metrics the more you will have the buy box

From what I know you can’t just re sell items bought from Tesco etc as Amazon now requires proper invoices

I've never come across this issue but know that they can ask for invoices if trying to get ungated for certain brands or categories sometimes. I can imagine it being necessary when buying wholesale but RA is huge on amazon and receipts can be used if theres an issue of authenticity or something after the sale
