We tide leather strap to the center wheel axle, and it kept the spokes pretty darn clean and all you had to do was ride it

Hmm, not only a good way to scratch your chrome with those hard bristles, but also add some piting from that ammonia, too.

@meggirard5873 I normally just use car wash soap but just make sure to use a clean microfiber towel.

Yes this was a very disturbing video as most of the goofy stuff you see on KZread by these kinds of people. This was one of the most ignorant things I've seen.

​@@meggirard5873there is no need to use anything harsh unless you have rust filled up on the spokes or the rim of the wheel. A simple non-acid wheel cleaner section by section and a microfiber detail brush to go in between the forks rinsing each section right after you washed and then take a microfiber mint and completely clean the wheel over again then either ceramic coat or Chrome polish of a good quality such as mothers. Do this twice a year and they'll always look excellent. Please don't follow with this guy did because it was very disturbing to watch

Cheers! It is a 2016. The color is Amber Whiskey. 2008 also has the same colors but in reverse.

The direction does not matter. As other comments have cautioned, use a soft bristle brush and be careful to avoid scratching.

Brush, good idea. Ammonia based cleaner like Windex is a HORRIBLE THING TO USE. ... Ammonia dissolves copper, chrome has a copper base. Good way to get pits and peeling chrome.

Exactly what I thought. I'd prefer Dawn dishwashing liquid over window cleaner.

The only problem is it's ALSO a quick easy way to get water in your rim through the spoke holes.. and that moisture will NEVER find it's way out.. which creates rust inside the rim.. I NEVER put water on my harley.. I do the spokes with a wide shoelace..

Nice idea but.....can't do it on polished or painted spoke wheels.

Using any cleaner on your bike that contains ammonia, even after rinsing it will leave enough to attract animals to urinate on your bike

Dogs will piss on it whether you use an ammonia based cleaner or not...

It was already a clean wheel.
