Interesting video Lauren, I learned this song with completely different chords, 2 bars G, 2 bars Em, 1 bar C 1 bar D 2 bars G and repeat throughout the song.

I have a version that uses those chords as well with a capo at the 2nd fret.

Do not slouch. Make sure to use a guitar strap as well. It's hard to maintain good posture if you're watching the fretboard. The sooner you develop muscle memory of the easier it gets.

Songs that have lyrics not starting at first beat messed me up for a long time. It was as bad and good as learning barre chords. Once I got it, I felt awesome. For me, it was 40oz to Freedom. The singing starts early, in the last couple beats of the intro. Your song sounds like the singing starts late, maybe half way through the first verse measure?

Yes, you are correct. The lyric starts a bit into the measure. It gets easier to feel the timing the longer you play.

If playing without a capo, shouldn't it be G Em C D?
