What a coincidence coming across this website. I was searching for an old You Tube of Ollie Paterson singing 'I almost lost my mind' with the Chris Barber Jazz Band and here was a brilliant piano transcription of the song. Bought it immediately and love playing it. As I am a fan of Jimmy Yancey I will be buying Christian's transcript of How Long Blues too - it sounds far better than my current version. Thanks

This is one of favorites - i’m not sure just how I play it but kind of similar to your way except in not too worried about strict bass line. My cover was site read from a lead sheet kind of impromptu ;)

Hi Christian, am I right in saying we have 4 bars of C followed by 3 of F and then 1 of C, then G and Dm. If so is this a typical variation of the 12 bar format?
