Learn how to make the best Sheer Khurma, a traditional and creamy vermicelli dessert enjoyed during Eid festivities! Follow this easy step-by-step recipe to create a delightful sweet treat for your family and friends.
📝 Ingredients:
1 cup vermicelli (sewai)
1 liter full cream milk
1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
1/4 cup ghee (clarified butter)
Assorted nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios)
Raisins and dates
Cardamom powder
Saffron strands (optional)
Rose water or kewra essence (optional)
👩🍳 Instructions:
Heat ghee in a pan and roast the vermicelli until golden brown. Set aside.
In the same pan, roast the nuts and raisins until golden and fragrant. Set aside.
Boil milk in a heavy-bottomed pot, then add roasted vermicelli and simmer until cooked.
Add sugar, cardamom pods, and saffron strands to the milk mixture. Stir well.
Continue to cook until the milk thickens slightly and vermicelli is soft.
Add the roasted nuts, raisins, and dates. Stir in rose water or kewra essence.
Serve warm or chilled. Garnish with more nuts and saffron strands if desired.
