I dont like having my ceiling light on while i work. And its behind me so i end up casting a shadow onto my desk. The light bar solves this problem. The light bar has sharp light cut offs so the light doesnt reflect on your screen and doesnt shine towards your face, so it only light up to the edge on your desk. I also spend 10 hours a day at my desk. The light bar actually relieves eye strain too.

Wouldn't this add extra glare on your screen? How is it in not well lit situations?

I personally don't see a difference on glare when it's on or off , the model I got is very bright in dark situations so just check the reviews for the model you are planning to get

Really good question! That was my biggest concern It really doesn’t surprisingly. And you can angle it away from the screen so it doesn’t hit it, if it is an issue The bar really provides the vibes when working at night with all the lights off besides the bar, monitor back light, and desk rgb 😎

@@thereaper8593 it really depends on what you want it for and it is not completely useless , I usually use it if I'm doing some kind of work or assignment on paper so it illuminates my whole table , much easier to write on my eyes compared to no light at all. It also makes your whole setup look much nicer than it used to be

It's too bad that's something Lenovo only made for their laptops, not monitors, which is the subject of this video.

I have one of these, the BenQ one. It’s really good but it gets in the way of putting your webcam on top of your monitor.

I got mine last year and there totally amazing guys u all need to get one. For real guys. Go get one trust me u will never go back to a standard lamp again

$50 for a lamp I'm never going to pay for something like that.

Yes!! Love how it saves so much desk space. And it looks pretty cool on top of the monitor if you ask me

the hp omen 27i that i use for my primary monitor has some ambient and task lighting and is a super cool way of making my setup pop

I started getting migraines from my led light bar. I do have lattice degeneration in my eyes so if I have LEDs near me I freak out that I'm gonna go blind. All my lights are soft white 2700k so my eyesight doesn't deteriorate that fast

i just added a lightbar and a monitor arm to my monitor and its makes so much difference, its probably one of my best investment on a setup

Why would I spend $50 on this to do that when I can get a low profile light strip for far cheaper and slap it on the back of the monitor for way more light. Great reveiw /s Lol

And that would be useful because? Adding LED strips to the back of the monitor only helps to add more biased lighting, it doesn't nothing for your actual desk top.

Got a table lamp from Ikea. I have it hanging from cabinets above my monitor and my entire table lights up

Too bad you can't change the colour temperature or overall brightness of it without buying a fancy Philips Hue bulb. That's why these light bars exist.

The only downside is that it messes with webcam angles

Pretty much all KZreadrs are. But that doesn't take anything way from the usefulness of a monitor light bar at all. I was extremely sceptical about them, but after buying the BenQ Halo and using it every day for almost a month, I can't go back to a setup without it. I get a lot less eye strain, and I have no issues working at night.

Recently I got a desk lamp, it is very bright, and does this job and more, this is useful to someone else, but certainly not for me.

I actually have 2 of this (Baseus) for 2 monitors, my main purpose is for eye protection. Rather than wearing anti-rad glasses, this does the job better.

I have one from that brand too, do you have any problems with them? Mine was randomly registering touches and turned on/off. That's why I removed the capacitive touch and soldered buttons on. Never had problems since.

They're not useful until you're working late at night with an UltraWide, or SuperUltraWide. Then it makes a huge difference. There are also color control ones that help discern pantone/rgb colors better when you're color grading.

Your entire room is lit with enough led backlights etc. And you worry about your "workspace". are gyou oing to look at your mouse everytime you click or scroll the wheel? Or do you still need to be able to see to locate where the spacebar is?

@@driggsy everything that could go wrong went wrong, so long story short, i had to reinstall wallpaper engine from steam cuz i switched to atlas os which is an os to improve perfomance, but i didnt allocate enough space so i tried resetting my pc but the option was not there, i tried forcing the automatic repair option to appear but that didnt work either, and now my pc is completely fucked LOL i got absolutely no clue where i put my cd drive for windows at
