Been stitching for more than 50 years and always worried about being as neat as possible. This is so liberating and I like the result a lot. Also was never able to throw away leftovers and now I am glad I saved them. And finally using my hoarded variegated threads.

Thank you! Woke up from a bad dream. Relaxing stitching might be just what I need. I will try shortening my thread, I am a habitual long threader. 💖

I really appreciate you stating what size needles you are using in these videos. I'm so glad I found your channel. It's been a cold winter here in Kansas USA! I've been a quilter and cross-stitcher, but I'm going to give slow stitching a try. Thank you for your time and effort doing these videos .

I adore this series bc it’s where I am as an embroider - kinda wanting to sort my on way and relax. I will say for those who are new, one of the best learning tools for me along the way have been vintage embroidery kits. A lot of educational opportunities are in these kits - usually I’ve found those labelled “crewel” embroidery the most varied. Seems if they are cotton floss rather than wool, they are mostly satin stitch variations. Crewel kits can be a gold mine of opportunities to learn a new stitch. I also have done vintage “pillow” kits as well as needlepoint kits. I feel much more confident and comfortable in my ability to create my own works now. Just some thoughts from my experiences….

I had a full 2 years ago. I had a brain bleed with this. I don't remember much about that. My depth perception was affected. I was doing cross stitch projects. I could no longer see the material. Your videos are just wonderful. Since I can't see the pattern, I could no longer cross stitch. Slow stitching has been great. Thank you so much!!

Love your videos. I'm a new embroiderer. They're all very instructive and easy to follow. Great presentation. I just saw your seed video. And I was thinking... if people find these pieces that people have practiced on wouldn't they be great to incorporate into a crazy quilt? So they have a continued purpose and enjoyment.🤗 Thank you for sharing your time with us. Diane

Hello Sarah, I am left-handed when sewing/embroidering and at times struggle to follow right-handed instructions where the stitch is quite involved, but for fairly simple ones I have no problem. Fortunately a few years ago I came across a book on embroidery stitches for left-handed people and it has been so useful. It is not as comprehensive as those for right-handed people but it works well for me.

You may have already seen it, but Yvette Stanton has an excellent stitch dictionary for left-handers, and all her books on individual techniques (generally counted work/white work) have instructions for both left and right handed stitchers.

** QUESTION ** Every time I see your roll of finished slow stitching, I think how cute that would be as a baby quilt, decorative pillow, or lap blanket. It could be because I come from a family of quilters. Have you ever sewn them together for such a project?? Or has anyone else?
