Easy second side setup with a ZeroClamp Base

Ғылым және технология

I frequently get asked about how my setup looks like for the second side operation from the part of "Just Machining - 02"
Here I show you how the setup works, and you will see how easy it is to handle
If you just like to see chips, just go to 1:49
The bolts are used to align the part are just old broken carbide end mills it is a great use for them.

    Next time a guy comes to your shop with an idea or drawing for a part that he thinks should be maybe $200, you show them this video to see what it takes to make his part and why one off parts will always be expensive. Good video Bavaria. only showing the important stuff that actually helps you.

    Where is the zero point in this system and how do you put it ?

  • @Mabarz
    @Mabarz2 жыл бұрын

    Awesome, can you tell me why you had to install the second zero point device and on top of that the fixture? Why not directly on the base zero point plate?

  • @hdfanboy

    @hdfanboy

    2 жыл бұрын

    It would be purely for clearance. If he mounted the fixture plate directly to the base spindle clearance would become an issue. Adding the 2nd zero point device adds probably another 100mm off the table for extra clearance.

  • @BavariaCNC

    @BavariaCNC

    2 жыл бұрын

    Steven explained it pretty good! it is all about clearance to the table, I wouldn’t need it for this job, but I made it my own standard always to use it.

    Why did you have the face mill take off the hat around the perimeter of the part first? What material are you cutting?

  • @BavariaCNC

    @BavariaCNC

    2 жыл бұрын

    those areas that are not connected to the part it self could easily cause damage to the tool / part if i mill them with the regular cut. So I take them away before it

    wieso spannt ihr die Platte nicht einfach hochkant in den Schraubstock? Dann brauchst man nur eine und kann in der Maschine auf und abspannen. Und bei der 5 Achs wäre es ja egal wie das Teil drin ist
