Looking really good Bob, those window pulls take me way back 35 years ago, on the first fishing vessel i was on, we had pocket windows and leather belts that pulled the windows up and down, my fingers were in the wrong spot (just once that will learn you), lol, great video, can't wait for the door handles

Building a 36 ford rat truck didn't know what I was going to do about door glass thanks for the tip.

That's a vehicular replication of my mood these days

Now I know what I'm gonna use for my doors when I put the glass in. Blue jean seams! Perfect!

I absolutely love the glass windows in the Rat Rod , That makes the truck look so much better you should put a strong magnet on the strap that way you don't have to have the screw in your door. Then you can put the windows half way up if you want to. It works my buddy did his plexiglass windows on a strap with strong magnets. It's a quick and dirty way to get door windows. I could've spent days and made power windows but I figure this is a really big improvement over "no windows" which I had originally planned.

goodday bob the rat ute has turned out mighty fine looks great its a credit to you and your skills to turn a pile of rusty good junk into somthing cool that id love to have in my shed! Cheers regards cs nsw australia

whoo Bob that 3M double sided might be a little too fancy for a rat rod! I love that stuff I have it in a bunch of different sizes use it all over the shop. Especially on custom projects on the Harley.

Thanks Shawn ... I think it was worth the effort if only for the looks. Pretty much have to pull off the side of the road to go up or down on the windows because it takes two hands but who cares .... it's a Rat Rod.

Bob, I think you are a great rat rod window installer. You got those windows in just in time for Halloween. The vampires will really like that dark tint, too. They don’t like bright sunlight all that much.

I hear ya. That's an art in itself that I haven't mastered. I would make a complete mess with the silicone ... not good on plastic. This 3M stuff is really thick and actually a lot stickier than silicone ... you should try some.

For your windows, 82-90 datsun / nissan pick-up truck regulators. the hand crank is on a cable so you can put it anywhere. Ideal for Rat Rods.

I like it Bob, looks kooool. I have light sensitive eyes, I have to have tinted glass in everything I drive. I bet you will be able to see just fine when outside in the daylight.
