This is a classic recipe that my husband and I both enjoyed as children... many years ago. I haven't made one for many years, so I was happy to see your video. I'm having guests this weekend, and this would be a wonderful dessert to make!

This is one of my favorite cakes. So moist and sweet and delicious. It is named after the mighty, muddy Mississippi. I always turn off the oven, put the marshmallows on the cake, put it back in the oven for about 2 minutes, then pour the frosting on. Yum yum.

This is like the Texas sheet cake my mother made throughout my childhood, except she covered the hot cake with marshmallow fluff so that it melted into a smooth layer, then it was topped with a boiled chocolate frosting and pecans. She made the cake in a half-sheet pan so it was fairly thin. Perfect layers of cake, marshmallow, and a fudgy frosting!

I have fond memories of my grandmother making this dish every Christmas during my childhood. I have her recipe. She made it all from scratch too.

Made this today for a moms group and had folks asking for the recipe afterwards. Super easy and my kids loved helping me measure the ingredients. It was really yummy and came together quickly. Great recipe. My daughter who is funny about chocolate likes it. After putting the marshmallows on I threw it in the hot oven for a min to help melt the marshmallows. It was so good!!

I got a Kitchen Aid stand mixer for Christmas and I have been going ham on your recipes! I invested in some nice vanilla extract and it really does makes all the difference. I'm definitely going to try this recipe.

There's a SUPER similar Pillsbury recipe that my mom started making in the late '90s and John called it at the end of the video - rocky road bars!

We called it rocky road cake when I was a lil girl. My grandmother made it all the time!
