Hi mam, thank you for the video, I tried your method for 9 yards and it came out well. I always felt difficult to wear madisar but only your method felt easy for me. I had to do some adjustments in my leg though to get the shape, also am tall, so there seems to be not enough saree.

No need we should just hold mezh thapu... Take out retta kacham out... We can use it as pant ...

There is kacham that you take in between your legs, keep it little loose and long, just cross over one leg over the kacham, use the toilet, then again cross over the leg over kacham.

Thank you Sowmya. I am seriously learning to wear the 2nd and 3rd type you have shown (6 yards saree in 9 yards). Have my daughter's kalyanam coming up and I am not sure if I am going to make it to India to buy the saree so want to wear it and feel comfortable on the kalyanam day. Thank you Soumya. I have to wear 9 yards for my mil’s first year ceremony. So I am learning urgently. My mother tied the 6 yard saree as 9 yards for my poo chootal 31 years ago, she is no more, so I am learning it in a hurry and with nostalgia. Thank you for your detailed and clear explanation.

It was very helpful. That too in 6 yards is really a boon to me. As sometimes we cannot carry 9 yards with us during travel. So it will be easy for person like me to tie madisar within minutes. Thanks to your family for spreading our culture, that too our paati's methods to current generation 🙏
