I've been binge watching your videos. I got a smoker finally and the 1st thing I made was your 4-1-30 ribs and they were great! I go to other channels but your videos are just so simple and to the point that I come back to yours! Thanks!

It looks good. 200 degrees is the way to go. I like how straightforward this recipe is. As for deer, my mother in law has a real problem with deer because she lives out in the country, and she plants a big garden every year. I think the solution was eventually tall fences. I picked up some Everything Bagels for another cream cheese and popper recipe. Keep these videos coming!

I am going to try your method. I had to sell my offset stick burner that I loved due to back problems, the charcoal was getting too heavy. So after watching your videos I bought a pit boss vertical same as yours, and I wish I would have bought it first. Cooks everything great. I have done ribs chicken Boston butt and I used to grill my pork chops, now I smoke them first then grill only to finish with grill marks for flavor. Absolutely love it, no more worrying about the temp, or having to add more wood or charcoal. It has made smoking more fun and less work. Smoke on!

Time permitting, would it dry the chicken out to go @ 200deg the whole time? Thank you and great video.

200 will be a very long cook. 225 is typically as low as I go on chicken. You give it a try though, and let me know how it turns out?

Zack. Do you ever wrap tin foil around the racks to help with the cleanup?

I don’t . It would help with clean up but it would disrupt air flow.

I saw your smoke tube in the smoker. Do you routinely use that or does it just live in there even when not in use? I recently got a Brunswick and I have been using my smoke tube on almost every cook. I can't testify to the difference with and without it because I am new to whole Smokin' Thang!

What temp on the smoker did you do for the four hours? Also, about how many thighs do you think can fit into the smoker at once? I just got one of these and trying to figure out how many people I can feed with it on memorial day doing smoked thighs.

  • @TheAmericanSmoke
