Easy Lotus Swirl, in Two Ways

Today we are doing a lotus swirl and using two different sized skewers to see if there’s a “perfect” way to lotus! Also, don’t sleep on the vanilla that DOES NOT DISCOLOR from Cierra Candles! Blends with everything and I love it!

Soap & Clay is a family owned business operating in Washington State, but started out online thanks to Mrs. Soap & Clay's kickass brother and his amazing web design skills. Mrs. Soap & Clay has been featured on Business Spotlight, New Day Northwest, and was awarded a coveted place on the South Sound's 40 under 40 list in 2019, an award given to the most influential business people under the age of 40 each year. She cried when she walked up to the podium to accept the award. A lot.

The first sharpie swirled one reminds me of a Thwomp from the Mario games, and the second sharpie swirl reminds me of Princess Mononoke's mask!

I did not have success getting that beautiful swirl throughout the entire loaf. I think my skewer was too thin to move enough… I had to really mess with the bars to get a perfect pretty pair

Random question…….How do you sell these? Like, just the one bar by itself doesn’t have the same impact as two bars together…. Ya know? Like, is it mandatory to by a set? 😜

Personally I’ve never attempted to market a lotus soap as a set, and only photograph a single bar for product photography, because it would be a NIGHTMARE to make sure the paired lotuses are always together on the cure rack. I do sell by the loaf, however, so when that happens the end user gets ALL the soaps to match up. 😂
