I would have never believed how easy it is to add lights to card. It makes such a beautiful difference. Thanks Jennifer for your easy instructions .
I love EZ Lights and your cards are so beautiful 😊 Hugs....Janie
I have watched so many videos of how to put the lights in. Why are yours so easy?! I swear I thought I would have to wire them together! Thank you so much Jennifer!
Oh my goodness... what fun! I have to say you're rubbing of on me Jennifer Mcguire. When I saw the lamppost die...I also thought it looked like it could be easily turned into a birdhouse and upside down it looks like a hanging planter! The cards are amazing!
Wonderful cards Jennifer, especially the Nativity scene. Pear Blossom lights open up so many possibilities. 👏😊💡💕🇿🇦
Gorgeous cards with the Jennifer touch of adding lights. I like how you showed a diversity of cards that feature the lights.
Love the little snow globe, actually all of them, but I’m a sucker for little houses. I have used Pear Blossom lights and they are so easy to use and people love the cards!
I already commented on your blog post before I saw the video. Your light up cards are AMAZING!! I just love all the detail and thought you put into your cards! That ray of light coming down on baby Jesus is genius!!
WOW! These cards and products featured in today's video are phenomenal. Amanda is one of the kindest company owners in the industry, she's so supportive and encouraging. I'm totally inspired to work on some light up cards now!
This is the greatest idea for add something extra to your cards! The process is so easy too! Thanks for sharing this!
Light up cards🥰🥰🥰 They are so beautiful!!!
Beautiful amazing cards! Love the lights!
These cards are fabulous! I especially love the nativity. It was so smart to direct the light.
Beautiful cards. Thank you for sharing. I need to get some of these lights!
I am falling in love with these lights. Great cards Jennifer. I'm excited to experiment💜🎨 tfs
Wow...love these -- especially the last one. The lights work so beautifully there. And you make this look so approachable and so worth doing.
I'm sure that I'll never do this but I certainly did enjoy watching you create these amazing cards. All of the cards are just beautiful.
Wow, I am so glad that you are willing to share your engineering brain with us! These cards are awesome!! ❤
Beautiful work Jennifer! I love all the gorgeous cards you made. And you are so clever to create that beam of light, shining down on baby Jesus. So so clever. I also love the, acetate for glass detail, on the lamp post card. I wish I could purchase these ez-lights in the Netherlands. Someday....
Jennifer, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us, you are so wonderful. God Bless you and your family.
Jennifer, you are fabulous! I ❤❤❤watching you create & enjoy getting ideas.
Beautiful cards and lights Jennifer ❤
That nativity is amazing!
LOVE the lights. thanks for telling us how they work.
I bought some lights a while ago and then ever used them. Thanks for the reminder!
Absolutely adorable 🥰 light up cards Jennifer. I uploaded a light up card too. I used Spellbinder Trees. But I got my card lights from Amazon. They sure can be tedious to make.
That snow globe is a WOW card!! The manger scene is so precious! I'm so thankful for what our Savior did for us! They are all so beautiful! You are one of the most caring card makers!
It’s amazing how much a little light adds to an already awesome card! Fantastic cards!
I have an easy peasy mac-n-cheesy way to make light up cards that also happens to be significantly cheaper. Oh and a bit more practical, because the light can be reused. I use balloon lights, not the round ones but the cylindrical ones. It’s not as slick as the light kits and I ask my recipients to hang the light themselves, which I am sure would bother some card makers. I make a pop up card, typically an easel style card. Choose a design that’s made for 3D display. Then decorate the the card front with a two sided window. I usually make see thru shakers and line the interior window with vellum to diffuse the light. The balloon lights have a hanging hole; I include an ornament hook. I place a paper loop inside the card up near the fold. The recipient just has to slip the hook thru the paper light. There are several advantages to this type of light up card. The light can be left on plus the batteries are replaceable. I’ve only done this for Christmas cards but all of the lights lasted for the season. Your recipient can reuse the light in an ornament or they are great for lighting up cabinets or utility closets (places that could use a little light but usually don’t have it like under a bathroom sink). You can actually put them in a balloon too. And as I mentioned before they are much much cheaper than card light kits. Another advantage I appreciate is that people don’t have to actually touch the front of the card to light it up. Kids will turn lights on enough to make the button press area grubby. In my experience adults don’t turn on card lights enough to justify the expense and effort of the kits. (my opinion) People do however turn the lights on in my cards and then just leave them on display :) You can usually buy 100 balloon lights for less than $10 on Amazon or at least you could before prices started shooting up. They come in both white and colored. The downside of this idea is that it makes the cards bulkier and if you mail it you definitely have to use a box or a well padded envelope. You could assemble the light inside but if you are mailing the card, there’s a risk of damage if your card gets crunched against the light. I just put the light along side the card with assembly instructions. I loved the cabin inside the snowglobe and the nativity card. Using cardstock to focus the light is so clever. Thanks for the tutorial.
HI Jennifer, WOW my goodness so Beautiful I loved them all thanks for sharing Lin 👍❤️✨
Loved your lamp and nativity cards and all of the beautiful details!! The globe design seems so adorable because of all of the layered details! So many small pieces! Your gorgeous dove card was actually my very favorite due to the classic symbol of peace, the Dove! Super blog hop and I have to say, that Pearblossom lights are unique and a fun way to make our cards even more special! Yours were gorgeous!
These are so beautiful! I love little houses with lights in the windows! The Nativity ‘beam of light’ is a genius idea! Love your cards, Jennifer.
Jennifer, these cards are incredible! Not only are the actual cards alone beautiful but adding the lights just makes them amazing. You are truly gifted! These will be so much fun to make! Thank you for sharing your creativity. ❤️💡🎄
A good tip for similar card designs is buying a pack of simple LED lights (can be found on Amazon as a pack of 100 or so), some wires, batteries and a cheap solder iron to attach wires to LED legs. It's the most basic electronic circuit that works nicely with 3V CR2032 batteries (if voltage is much higher, it can destroy LEDs). It becomes much much cheaper than buying these specialised light-up kits. I also tried using copper tape instead of wires which is a simpler option, however, my circuits would break after a while since copper is slippery, so the contact wouldn't be very reliable. I hope this comment is helpful to anyone!
Love these! I keep forgetting to use them! Thanks for the reminder❤️
Yay!!! An easy way for lighting a card without having to create a circuit!
LOL. "You don't have to be an engineer..." I don't know. You have a vision I don't. But I think I'll try this. The grandchildren would go wild.
Love all three... I have tried on several occasions to purchase these lights and unfortunately they were OOS! I am not giving up though because I would love to try these. Lovely cards and I love all of the Memory Box dies you used also. TFS
Hi Jennifer, you never cease to amaze. These cards are incredible. Love these so much. Agree with other comments that they are lovely on their own, but the lights certainly do give it the WOW feature. Thank you for another great share and tutorial. You are such an AMAZING lady and we are certainly lucky to have you as our teacher. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm glad you used your engineer degree to design these beautiful cards. Thank you for sharing and taking the time for this great video.
These cards are fantastic and perfect for the holidays!
Thank you, Jennifer, for sharing all these tips and tricks. I’m going to make light up cards for the first time this season, so I need all the help I can get!! All of your cards are fabulous!!!
Wonderful cards. Great ideas for those special cards. TFS
I love these cards! I have always wanted to add lights to my projects and you have shown me how easy it is. Thank you for a great video.
Oh my gosh these are sooooo cute:) you make it look so easy:) I love memory box dies. If I can find the lamppost it could be a try:) tfs stay safe and God Bless:)

Hi Jennifer, your cards are always so special. Thank you for showing us how easy using these lights are. TYFS.
Very pretty! Love the lights!
Love those lights! Thank you!
Totaly Awesome, Jennifer!
This is terrific Jennifer - thank you! I have used a different company's lights in cards in the past, but they were way more difficult and not particularly reliable. I can't wait to try these.
Wow Jennifer, these are amazing! I especially love the ray of light on the Nativity. I tried something similar and it did not turn out anywhere near that good. The vellum is perfect for that effect! Lol, why didn't I think of that. Off to give it a go. Thanks so much for the awesome inspiration and the kind words.
Your cards are beautiful! I'm looking forward to trying these lights on my cards.
I love your nativity scene! Awesome 😍😍
These cards awesome and beautiful, love them
Awesome cards, Jennifer!
Wow! I loved these cards! Thank you so much for sharing how to make them.😀
These cards are amazing and beautiful! I like the variety of products you used and how you always identify them so well in the video! Having the item name appear as you discuss it is greatly appreciated! I’d never heard of Pearblossom until I watched videos by you and Laura Bassen this morning. I’m very glad their light-up features are easy to use. It makes them much less intimidating than some I’ve seen in years past. Thanks again for sharing your designs and tips with us! I hope you and your family have a very blessed Thanksgiving!
You are SO creative!!!!! Thanks for sharing your gifts with us :)
Such a cool idea, a must try!
LOVE these cards!!!❤❤❤ Unfortunately the lights are too pricey for me. (I'd need about 50!) I think they would look beautiful even without the lights. And as always, thank you 🙏 for sharing your talent 😊 God bless!

Look at getting SMD Led's. They are surface mounted diodes. From Amazon you can get a pack of 5050 100 (5 colors x 20) for $7.00. 5050 is the size. You can get smaller ones than the 5050's, but they become difficult to work with. You use copper tape to lay out your circuit and then tape or glue the led's to the copper tape. Its pretty easy once you get the hang of it. Each color of led uses different voltage/amperage so you do have to be careful when mixing colors if your power source (usually a small watch battery) doesn't have enough amperage or voltage to handle multiple colors.
These are so cute and fun. Thanks for sharing.
I concur. Amanda is a lovely person. You are brilliant and your beam card is genius. Happy Thanksgiving! Tyfs. 🧡💛🤎💚
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you.
Beautiful cards, but the Nativity scene is amazing!! Blessings to you and yours! ❤️❤️
The cards are absolutely gorgeous! I always wondered how people got their cards to light up, thank you so much for showing me how. Happy Thanksgiving.
These are the best cards! Thanks

Love it ❤
What a great feature.
Lovely 😊💕
Beautiful! You make everything LOOK easy! 😂 I especially love the nativity scene card. Sadly, I rarely see tutorials for CHRISTmas cards that have anything to do with Christ, & you knocked this one out of the park! Thanks so much!!! 😊❤️

my personal cards are always Christmas. i try to a variety here so others feel represented too :)
These are amazing. Hugs
I would love these lights. Because card supplies are so expensive I'd like to point out that you can order the components to make your own card lights online for pennies. (minus batteries).
These are genius!
Great video very informative thank you so very much Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and all your subscribers

Happy new year
Wow!
Just about done doing a similar nativity scene thanks to your video. Although, I don't have a cricut machine, just a good ol fashion xacto knife. Makes it much more time consuming but it is still fun to do. I started doing light up cards about a year ago. I use the copper tape and make my own switch with a piece of cardboard. I use the flat SMD led's. I was taping them on, but when there is a lot of humidity, they can loose contact. Been experimenting with gorilla super glue. So far that is working on the larger LED's. But with some of the smaller SMD led's, too much glue comes out and causes the led's to not make contact with the copper tape. Still trying to find a good solution. Thanks for the interesting video.
Это великолепно 👍 так и хочется нажимать на кнопочки 😅
Beautiful cards, Jennifer! Thank you!! Do you know of any lights that would let the recipient keep the card lit up when it's on display? TIA!
Incredible - I am trying to think if I could send these to Canada without causing border issues ?
Thanks so much Jennifer for sharing your talents with your viewers. The cards are phenomenal! I have ordered lights to use in my own cards. May I kindly ask if the lights flashed or were you making them flash using the button?
@jennifermcguireink
2 жыл бұрын
that was me, they stay on when you hold it pressed
I wonder if you could use alcohol markers to color the tip of the lights to make them yellow or red or whatever :)
These are pretty amazing!! On the last one I am glad you addressed the issue with the battery being drained during mailing. However I am wondering if there’s a chance the card could shift to the left inside the envelope and push that little tab inside the card out of sight.. Or is there enough friction to prevent that?
@jennifermcguireink

too much friction.
Jennifer - do YOU ever squeal with delight when something comes together better than you ever dreamed! Your house must get really loud sometimes lol
