Thanks Jason.. the weaker the displacement the lower the probability of success...2-3 confluence reasons on top of displacement are important too for filtering..eg fibs..orderblock ..fvg..look for reasons not to trade..

@@awakefxshane Shane would this have also been a valid setup where you would have taken and entry at the 50% pullback, it looks like that type of setup from another episode. I'm thinking with a 50% entr and with a further entry at the order block? to combine both strategies, possibly getting out of the 50% entry at BE or 1:1 and a full RR on the higher enty

@@jasonjetplane i would not take 2 entries as you are increasing your risk on the trade.... 1 entry only.. I don't like a 50% fib retracement on the short trade example as to get 2R the distance to the previous low is too close... previous swing highs/lows can be logical targets and i personally want these targets to be 2R+ away from my entry as a minimum for best results... this is another filtering technique

After a Market structure shift with displacement I use fibs to measure length of swing that the displacement was in and I look at potential entries around 50%

Thanks for your comment..No an imbalance are the gaps left behind after price moves..eg a fair value gap is a type of imbalance... I did a video on volume imbalance which is another type of imbalance... Displacement is simply a strong candle move that breaks a trend...

Hi Ayush, I use recent swing highs/lows within the time frame i am looking at. They need to have had a nice bounce away from to be considered significant. I hope to make a live trade room in the future where i can mark these levels in real times as its hard to explain through words sometimes..

Look at 15 min chart for most recent obvious swing highs and lows ..zoom out from your chart.. should be visible on 5 min too..hope that helps

Displacement is a strong energetic move which looks like a large candle or series of candles that initiate the market structure shift.. check out my lesson on market structure kzread.info/dash/bejne/oIWZmKSTgqfSadY.html .. A break of structure is a continuation in an uptrend(break of previous high) or a continuation in a downtrend (break of previous low)

I don't look for volume specifically instead I only look for a potential setup long or short after displacement at a specific time of the day. That time of the day coincides with high volume anyway.. eg US indices (ES)between 730am-10am new York time... I'll be making a video on liquidy zones/liquidity grabs/point of interest where these displacements are best found

For me is not very clear when to enter in the transaction. So, the structure is bearish and we identify the bearish orderblock having the four down candels. In your video we are at 4:05. From now on I want to place a pending order. The entry price will be like you put it at the OB, but when I look at the movement of the candels, my entry should be somewhere between 4:05 and 4:08 in time of your video. Am I correct?

Hi Adrian...this lesson is about displacement and is not a complete trading strategy....if you watch all my videos/live trades you will see my style of trading...the most important aspect of this video is to notice that displacement candles that create a market structure shift reverses the trend very often... Entry techniques can vary from fibs..to order blocks.. fair value gaps etc..I have made individual videos on these concepts

Can u please explain ict advanced market structure shift in detail with multiple examples. No one on youtube is able to explain it in simple words. Few videos are available which are of 60-80 minutes but still they fail to deliver the quality content as they were struggling to explain it.

Displacement means an energetic move in one direction... Eg if there is 1 large 15 min candle then that's a 1 candle displacement however that 1 15 min candle can comprise of a series of 3 X 5 min candles on a lower timeframe

Thanks for your question.. A liquidity grab or liquidity zone that has been traded through is a zone where you hunt for these displaced market structure shifts on lower time frame..such as 5 min or 1 min.. my next video will be on liquidity zones so will make this more clear.
