Hadn’t used mine in several years and didn’t remember exactly how to start it. Downloaded the manual, but your video reminded me of how it worked within seconds. Thanks!

I only use mine a few times a year for falling trees and cutting firewood. I usually forget and flood it. Great easy tips. Started first time.

Thanks for the video save me a lot of time reading a bunch of useless instructions . Like don't drink the oil in the gas don't start the chainsaw while holding a blade. Never let your two-year-old use the chainsaw. You know the usual BS. Once again I appreciate it

I just bought a brand new 14" Husqvarna. When do you suppose to release the chain guard? I get it running and when I try to release the chain brake, the chain starts spinning fast. and then it smokes bad and stalls out. ?? what am I doing wrong?

That's a good question, I'm not sure. I would make sure you have the bar/chain oil in the correct spot and the gasoline/oil mixture in the correct ratio, in the correct spot. I'd also make sure to not "flood" or put to much gasoline/oil mixture into the gas location. I've heard that can make it harder to start. I usually stand on the handle, with the chain guard already released, prime the pump 6x, pull out the blue choke switch all the way, pull the starter cord about 5x and then put it half way and pull it until it starts up and then I let it run about 10 seconds and also slowly squeeze the trigger and then after a 1/2 min it's ready for action. I'm not sure the cause of the smoke/stalling, but you might double check your fluids that you have the correct ones in the correct spots and that they are not too full. Best wishes and stay safe!

interesting, I know I've had issues if I flood the gas or oil tanks too much, or forget to pull the lever midway, or if I forget to press the primer button. Best wishes!

Why is this person calling the chain a blade, also the blade guard as he calls it, is called a chain brake.

Well of course it's easy to start a Huskvarna when it's brand new. Just wait until you've used it 3 or 4 times, and it's old and worn out, and try to start it then!

That's bullshit. I've run Huskys for over 30 years and not one of them have been hard to start unless something was broken or wrongly adjusted. Take care of your saw and it will work just fine.

Sorry to hear you’re having problems with your saw. I bought mine brand new and have been using it a LOT for the past 6 weeks. I have had not one ounce of trouble with it. In my case I prefer to use the Husqvarna brand premixed gas/oil. That way I know for sure I have the right mixture instead of guessing. It’s not that much more expensive than if I mixed it myself and it gives me peace of mind. It also gives me an easier time if I have to return it under warranty for some reason. I’m not out in the woods working with it every day so I really don’t notice the small extra cost of the fuel. I will say that it has been a great little saw for me so far.

A chainsaw doesn't have a blade, there's not a blade to be found anywhere, a chainsaw has a bar and a chain.
