Thanks to you we figured out our problem of no audio on our TV. It was as simple as unplugging the TV from the power strip, waiting a few minutes and plugging it back in again. We were ready to go out and buy a new TV. Thanks again!

OMG !! This absolutely worked doing the hardware reboot....so simple....even had the cable guy work on the cable box told me I needed new wires (at my expense)...... while he was working on the cable replacing this and replacing that...I watched Tampatec , then went to the television while the dude was playing on the cable box...did the reset and BAMMMM had sound ~ !! DUDE you are fantastic !!

I got an accidental birthday present as it was on the 24 January. It was a TV and I thought I'd try the two TV HDMI screen splitting fix. It worked as I used an old splitter to bypass the HDCP error pop up. Perfect except there was no sound on the gift TV so I thought it was broken and I'd recycle it. But then I searched and found you and presto I fixed the sound and felt like Einstein lol. Thank you.

when i was a tyke, we had a 19" portable black and white tv. we plugged it in, adjusted the rabbit ears and viola! i was my dad's remote/channel changer ;p things were simple and life was good. the learning curve on today's home theaters can be daunting, however, just like your video shows, it can be simple also. thx for the upload

wow... you helped me get my sound back. I unplugged, waited 2 minutes and then waited 5+ minutes. Turned it back on and voila - it all came back , sound from TV and sound from receiver/speakers. You da best!!!!

We almost went the route of baking the module, but I came across a post that said to turn off the TV and the set-top box, remove the power source for at least 15 minutes for both, discharge the power button by pressing it and leaving it alone. After 15 min approximately, I replugged both the set-top box and the TV into the electricity socket. Turned on both STB & TV. I believe ATT U-verse had to cycle through... then voilà, the sound was back! This happened a second time and I went through the same process, and again it worked! So glad I didn't bake the module.

Unplugged cable box for about 10 minutes. Plugged it back in and let the cable box reboot and hooray the volume is back on. Thank you so much for sharing how to fix the volume on your TV...

I didn't have a power surge but tried your first suggestion (hard reset) and it worked like a charm! Thanks so much, I can watch baseball without doing the play by play myself now.

Thank god I saw ur vid. I was freakin out so much about my 4K TV breakin on me I didn't think about such the simple things I could've done (that I've done in the past, but for game systems) that could've made the sound work. I was about to request repair service and then when I saw this I was like "DUH" i should try unplugging it for awhile. Then try a different HDMI port. Eventually the other HDMI port worked and I saved myself requesting help. (but I never had a power surge but this still saved me BIG TIME). 7hanks again.

hey man, thanks. I thought my tv was busted with no sound. One random day there was no sound from the blue ray. I never thought to try to use another plug in. One of my HDMI ports went bad, but when used a different port it worked fine. Thanks

The one thing I like about the Vizio TVs of today is that I think as of right now or for now, they, I believe, are the only tv brand as of now that still offer the RCA "RED/WHITE" analog audio output option. All other tvs, I think, either only have Headphone jacks OR audio optical.
