EASY HORSEPOWER GAINS | Tuning Mustang S197 With BAMA Performance SCT X4

Today I tune the 2006 Mustang S197 with BAMA Performance SCT X4 powerflash tuner. This is an extremely easy and cost efficient way to gain 15+ horsepower and 21+ ft. lbs. of torque without changing any parts on your Mustang! It also greatly increases throttle response on top of all this and is extremely easy to install into your vehicle (10 minutes max install time). It is also a very affordable tuner coming in at right around $400, not to mention you get a free lifetime supply of tunes if you choose to change any parts on your vehicle.

I bought my self a ROUSH CAI ,waiting for it to arrive ,but I bought it without a Tune device,what Tune should I buy and also a little bit of hard stuff to figure out is I live in Germany and I use Benzin 95 ,what Tune goes best with it ,I am not racing I am just looking as most other the more fun ride, better Throttel and Car response
It gave me a few options while I was filling out my mod list but I choose 93 but it didn’t say “93 race” , so since I choose just 93 will bama send me a email showing “93r” when I program my vehicle?
This is exactly what I just purchased. Have you had an issues with overheating after the install?

I have never had any issues like that. I’m unsure as to what the tune could control that might cause overheating besides possibly fans. I’d check to see that they are kicking on. If they are then I would recommend checking your coolant levels, checking to see if the thermostat might be stuck/need replaced, and possibly even bleeding the system.

@@DerdsBackyardGarage I have a 2005 saleen s281. Mine is already factory tuned for 93 octane with specific custom exhaust. A BAMA tune won’t match for my car. Deciding not to take the chance. If I had a factory 4.6 I would
I have a 2007 GT 5speed 4.6 v8, with JLT cold air intake and borla exhaust and 4:10 gears, I live in Windsor CO. What settings would you suggest on my SCTx4 tuner? for some reason when I do 91 performance tune it will not even start

I’d suggest contacting them and having them rewrite the 91 tune. Sounds like they botched it. I have the same CAI on my 07 with no issues using the provided tunes.

Bought a bama tune for my car ima do the the racing tune will I need to drain out my 87 fuel ?

I did not have any trouble with running lower octane fuel through it on a race tune. If you are worried you can always buy some octane boost just to be on the safer side.
I’m guessing I could still run regular gas 87 right ?

You absolutely can. They say “in order to see peak performance” you should run whatever octane your tune is rated for.
How is your MPG driving just normal?

Just a little less on the higher octane tunes. For the lower ones the same. With your foot in the floor? It’s much worse all around lol.
so with the 91 performance tune can u use 87-93 fuel ??

You can only use up to what the tube is rated for. Ex. 91 tune use 91 fuel but you can also use 87 or 89 as well you'll just lose performance
Does this device have afr guage?

As far as I’m aware (and possibly maybe just on older generations) it does not.
so you have to run 91 or 93 when you get these tuners? no choice for still running regular gas?

Depending on your elevation you should be fine to run whatever gas. If you would like to see the performance peak at what’s listed on the video it must be 91 or 93 octane.

Yes you can still get a 87 performance and race tune where I live in pa 93 is at every pump so I got the 93 race tune shit rips
