I made a book this way many years ago. But instead of individual pages, I made signatures with file folder covers and 3 papers each, pamphlet stitched together, then bound with the tape. It has a different theme for each section. I'm happy to see this binding coming around again, thank you for a great video.

Love the papers that you have used. And the decorating takes it to even a more beautiful level! Inspiring as always. Thank you 😊🥰

That hinge system turned out pretty good for your first try. Love your fabric washi. Love the ladies on front cover. Thank you for sharing the binding technique.

I do think the front cover is nice, but I loved how the ladies seemed to be sitting on the lines of the beano card when there was nothing behind them. Their toes were on the bottom line and they appeared to be seated on another with that one elbow propped on one.... they just popped right off the page that way .... : ) ♡♡♡ Really cute journal!

Love the fabric hinge system! 😍

Back cover ephemera from Pearl Beer, that’s from San Antonio, Texas. The brewery is now closed but the brewery buildings are now lofts, restaurants and other retailers. The beer was delivered to Landa Park which is in a German community near San Antonio. Wish I had that receipt!

I love this soooo much! It is the coolest technique! I’m not a fan of sideways papers and need ways to keep my pages vertical. Thank you for sharing and giving it a try for yourself!

Very cool! I first saw it on one of Dina Wakley’s Live videos and then on Wendy’s channel. I love that you’re using different papers! I’ve only seen it used with pages that are all the same. Very clever!

Hi Barbara - I saw this somewhere and I made a few of them BUT it is completely not self evident how you begin and where you put the tape so each time I had to go back to the video. It’s a lot of fun to make and the look is great. Yours is much neater than mine but that’s you and your magic hands. Hope all is well. Have a good “week-end” if there idea still exits. Jackie

Have used these ladies several times... because they are sitting I usually give them some sort of chair ... one time a balcony so their feet are dangling off the second story!!! So unexpected and funny!!! The binding is so different.. really like it ...another great job..!!!😻

Try to see the video from ephemera vintage garden. She show how to make vintage tape. That is the way I use and it looks great Love your sharing it have given me some great ideas and inspiration 👏👏🙂 Tina

Your hinge journal is awesome! I have seen this before but i know that I would mess up keeping straight how many pieces of tape. It's kinda confusing but that's just me. Can't wait for the next video. Tyfs!

Haha thank you Barbara! You don’t really need to have it figured out at the beginning. Just start and keep adding until you feel it’s enough 😃

I've never seen this binding technique. Seems easy enough. Thanks for showing us Barbara. Although other channels demonstrate this, we don't all subscribe to the same ones. I might have missed this one otherwise.

🌸 Try putting down a small (the size you want to use in your journal) piece of regular scotch tape onto wax paper. Then drip on “Caramel” ink . (Putting drips of ink across the tape). The drips should spread out and cover the whole piece of tape. If there are any clear spots just dab the inked tape lightly with a paper towel and put the ink on the clear space. It’s really easy and looks so real! Hope this helps!

Wow love how you bound your journal never seen it done this way!! May give this a go sometime soon. Did you use washi tape, or did you something with a peel off backing? This is really cute and I like you need many papers! Thanks for sharing 🥳❣️

Thanks April! I used fabric washi with a peel off backing. I would only use paper washi if you add glue to the back. Have fun! 😃❤️

Good idea. The duck brand tape comes in so many cute colors and patterns it would go with pretty much any journal. It is also strong.

Another wonderful example of your creativity! Always love seeing how you assemble your collages. You might want to check out a KZread video tutorial by creativecafegirl, dated 10/26/2019, for a simple ,very easy way to age transparent tape using the caramel alcohol ink.

I love this book. It lays flat but it doesn't have the ring binding which I don't care for. Did you make your fabric tape? I have some very colorful tape from Amity Bloom but I've never seen this neutral before.

That strange moment when you realize a piece of vintage ephemera you are gluing onto the back cover has my name on it. Love this project and think this method of binding would make a great art journal.
